Hopefully targeting and blowing missiles out of the sky with the massive build up of assets we have over there.

It doesn't sound as if they did. The USA has a 24/7 intelligence gathering apparatus... The USA caught wind of it, most likely.
If USA intelligence caught wind of it, Israel's intelligence apparatus probably did to. Generally speaking, information for the US doesn't become actionable intelligence unless at least three separate sources confirm the info.
IMO, Israel should send some nukes to hit every one of Iran's nuclear sites.

It is just almost beyond belief that our government would ask Israel not to respond! Still I know our present government does exactly that. 
Should make us wonder if our government plans to protect our own nation at all. I say good for Israel when they decline to go along with such foolish advice.

This time it seems that Iran fired only ballistic missiles, on a wider scale
