Iran’s Prophesied Disaster, Regime Change and Dispersion :: By Bill Salus

Andy C

Well-known
About 2,600 years ago, in a prediction that has been vastly overlooked by most of today’s top Bible prophecy experts, the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah predicted Iran would undergo a massive, possibly nuclear, disaster! Jeremiah declared that this epic event would be caused by the Lord and occur in the latter days.

Additionally, the foretelling predicts a regime change and the worldwide dispersion of many Iranian refugees. Jeremiah 49:38 declares, “’I will establish my sovereignty over Elam. I will destroy their king and their leaders,’ says the Lord.” Some translations say, “I will set My throne in Elam.” Jeremiah 49:36 states that “there will not be a nation where Elam’s exiles do not go.”

THE PROPHECY OF ELAM: (Jeremiah 49:34-39)

“The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their (military) might. Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.

“For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them.  I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes [leaders or officials],’ says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 49:34-39, NKJV; emphasis added.)

THE PROPHECY OF ELAM SUMMARIZED AND EXPLAINED

Bible prophecy predicts that Iran faces double trouble in the end times. These foretellings are found in Jeremiah 49:34-39 , addressing ancient Elam, and Ezekiel 38:5 concerning Persia. In my book entitled Nuclear Showdown in Iran, Revealing the Ancient Prophecy of Elam, I point out that these are two distinctly different prophecies.

(Read this article) –Are Jeremiah 49:34-39 and Ezekiel 38 the same event? What about Psalm 83?

(In the short video at the following link, Dr. Bill Salus and Tom Hughes discuss the Elam prophecy): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aLM4LdDcDY

Jeremiah issued his prophecy of Elam around 596 BC, and about a decade or two later, Ezekiel penned his predictions about Persia. The map of Iran in this article identifies the location of these former territories, which have always been geographically isolated from each other by the Zagros Mountains.

I was just reading these very scriptures recently. I believe Bill to be most likely correct.
I think so too.

The only real question in my mind is when.

The 2 possibilities I see are:

#1 this conflict is about to happen now,

or

#2 is it yet future to what we see now? Making this one that we see now just part of the stage setting for some future fulfillment of these prophecies.

And the more time Iran takes the more irritated Trump gets, the more times Trump has to do this, the more likely option #1 gets.

I took a deeper look at Iran....Persia.....Elam several months ago and agree on a lot of what Bill is saying. I'm still unsure of Psalms 83 but Ezekiel 38/39 seems right. I wish he was able to be much more active but if his illness is slowing things down, it's our loss on getting his future take on things.

If Jermiah 49 gets fuflilled now possibly through Trump and Israel follwoing through on their threats, then the question posits how long would this delay ez 3a and does this make ez 38 a event closer to mid trib???
