It's the same lie as in the beginning. Ishmael, the son of sin, attempting to usurp the blessing that Abraham passed to his son Israel. Ishmael counterfeiting/impersonating the rightful heir to the lineage of Messiah. Less often told is the same lie with regard to Esau. In both cases, it's the younger son, who is the son of promise and who carries on the line of promise/promised Messiah, and the older son, who is bitter and despises the younger son. The more satan muddies and confuses the waters of the lineage and identity of Jesus, the happier he is
