IDF spokesman: We will not be able to return all the hostages in rescue operations

IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that the circumstances of the deaths of the hostages whose bodies were retrieved on Tuesday are under investigation. "Now 109 hostages are being held captive by Hamas. It is our moral duty to return them, it is a war objective," he said. "We understand the urgency very well in view of the growing concern for their health and mental state as time passes. The IDF works day and night to bring in more intelligence, to generate more operational options for rescuing hostages but we will not be able to return everyone through rescue operations."
