I need help sending a PPT presentation

Well-known
I want to email one of my PowerPoint presentations to a class member. I have his email. My computer is using Microsoft365. I used to be able, on my old computer, to do the 'drag and drop' stuff. Now, under the 'file' tab, there is no option for 'sending to xxxx', I have to create a PDF file (??). So, that is where I'm at. I can print the entire file but not email. Do I create the PDF file, and what does that do or allow me to do?

If you don’t have Adobe to create a pdf file you can open your PowerPoint and at the print menu you may have a ‘save as PDF’ option and that can get emailed.

Doesn’t your email provider allow you to select files to attach?

Ron, I use a MAC, so our menu options aren’t the same, but if I have a file that I want to keep as a pdf, but the software is acting overly proprietary like Microsoft often does, I can click on my desktop and I get a menu that is not tied to the software. From there I can print or save to pdf. I don’t have Adobe either.

Your email program should allow you to attach a document to your email. Save the ppt either as ppt or print to microsoft pdf, depending on which way you want to sent it, then open your email program, address an outbound email, find the attach icon and then find the file you want to attach and select it. Or, find the file in explorer and drag and drop it onto the email you're preparing to send to the person.
