It's interesting that through cyberwarfare you can do physical damage to your enemy and their assets. I hardly believed it back in the day, but this is good evidence that it is doable.

found a way to hurt Hezbollah in 3 ways:

• They took out more than 2000 "fighters" at the same time.
• The psygological effect: most were hurt in their "manhood".
• So, most other "fighters" threw away their beepers as to not get hurt too.

It may not be too long before Israel is living securely and safely.

They may have picked the time to disrupt a huge attack revealed by intel or the least hazardous way to get as many as possible hidden in the massive web of tunnels. We don't get to see everything.

Bonus, every injured terrorist means more terrorists are diverted from terror activities to take care of their injured terrorist buddies. This is very old/standard military consideration/principle when selecting weapons of war and their employment, troop strength, composition and positioning of troops and other assets, troop replacements, evacuation, resources, logistics, etc.

No reason why Israel wouldn't or couldn't do this again targeting other modes of communication, or pagers again if terrorists still using/went back to using them.

I wish they'd do this to the terror cells operating in the U.S.

I read somewhere that an Israeli asset may have actually gotten the contract to provide the pagers and explosives were installed in them before delivery. Ingenious if that's the case.

This ingenious and bold move made me think of Eli Cohen.

He was that clever and brave spy in the early days of Israel's statehood.
He went undercover in Syria and observed the Syrian fortifications in the Golan.
He suggested that the Syrian military plant trees to give the soldiers shade.
Cohen sold them many eucalyptus trees and they were planted at all the military facilities.
When the Six-Day War broke out, they served as easily identifiable targets.

What a nation, what superior smarts God gives His own!
