Hamas says it 'needs more time' to respond to Trump's Gaza plan

Hamas in Gaza rejects Trump plan

The BBC reported Thursday that mediators contacted Izz al-Din al-Haddad, head of Hamas' military wing in Gaza, who said he does not agree to the new American ceasefire plan. According to the report, al-Haddad apparently believes the plan was crafted to bring about Hamas' downfall, whether or not the terrorist organization accepts it, and therefore he is determined to continue fighting.

The report added that while some members of Hamas leadership in Qatar appeared open to considering the plan with adjustments, their influence was limited because they have no authority over the hostages themselves.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said earlier that talks were being held with the Hamas terrorist organization to obtain its response to Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza. The minister clarified that attempts were underway to convince Hamas to react positively to the proposal.

"The Trump plan has many gaps that need to be filled," Abdelatty added. He said Egypt was working with Qatar and Turkey to persuade Hamas to accept the framework for ending the war. "We are meeting with them and coordinating with our brothers in Qatar and our colleagues in Turkey to convince Hamas to respond positively to the plan," he said.

He further stated that if there were political will, the plan could be implemented on the ground, but it would require participation. "The Trump plan requires further discussions regarding how it should be implemented, particularly regarding governance and security arrangements," Abdelatty explained. He stressed that Egypt supports Trump's plan and vision for ending the war.

Trump issues ultimatum to Hamas: Deal by 1:00 Monday or 'gates of hell will open'
US President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Hamas in a post on his TruthSocial network, writing that the terrorist organization must respond to the proposal for an agreement to end the war "by 1:00 on Monday - or the gates of hell will open." Trump also wrote that "more than 25,000 Hamas 'soldiers' have already been killed, and most of the rest are surrounded and militarily trapped, just waiting for me to say one word: 'GO'. This is the last chance for a deal. There will be peace in the Middle East one way or another."

Maybe the USA will provide a little assistance in leveling gaza city.

A Hamas official said on Friday that the jihadist group needs more time to study the Gaza plan put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump and backed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Arabic and international media outlets reported.
 of course they did.

Cue the meme: SO YOU HAVE CHOSEN DEATH!!!!

Go for the gusto Israel, wipe them out and take no prisoners.

Hamas agrees to release all Israeli hostages under Trump Gaza peace deal, enter negotiations to end war

Hamas on Friday agreed to release all Israeli hostages — living and dead — but wants to negotiate the other terms of President Trump’s comprehensive peace deal even after the commander in chief said there was “not much” room for discussion.

In a statement, the militant group said it had held “in-depth consultations … to reach a responsible position in dealing with” Trump’s proposal for an end to the fighting in Gaza, which is set to enter its third year Tuesday.

Hamas said it was ready to immediately begin negotiations through mediators to finalize details of the arrangement. Trump posted text of Hamas’ statement on his Truth Social page.

It also said it would release the hostages once “field conditions are met” — meaning once Israel pulled back its forces to the lines of engagement set forth in Trump’s peace plan. The IDF is currently well into Gaza, closing in on Gaza City.

Hamas Responds to Trump; Agrees to Release All Hostages

The Palestinian group says that, in order to end Israel’s war on Gaza and a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave, it is ready to release all Israeli captives – both those who are living and dead – according to the exchange plan outlined in Trump’s proposal.

“In this context, the movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details of this agreement,” Hamas said in a statement shared on Telegram.

It also said it agrees to hand over the administration of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats, “based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support”.

The response did not, apparently, include an agreement to disarm — a core Israeli and American demand.

Since hamas isn't accepting the whole package, I hope that their offer is deemed to fall short...

What?!!
More negotiations?
Trump made it clear, "accept the peace plan or else".
If more negotiating happens, it will make Trump look bad because Hamas continues to pull the strings according to his way.
If Trump agrees with Hamas, its just continuing to Kick the can to stall

Sadly i think you're righg and it's just more shenanigans.

These people have made their motives known and no deals is ever gonna uphold wiyh these people.

I can't believe Hamas still exists in any form after the atrocities they committed on Oct. 7. "Atrocities" is a gross understatement—my vocabulary is not large enough to define those actions in a family-friendly way.

I have heard Hamas is a political party. I reckon they are a band of terrorist thugs intent on killing Israelis because they are Israelis. And the cries of "genocide" go up for the imaginary "palis".

Terrorists should not be "negotiated" with. Obliterate them. Put their heads up on pikes as a sign to any who would follow.

I doubt very seriously that Hamas will disarm. They may pretend to disarm while hiding massive amounts in tunnels to be brought out at a later date, but I believe they are stalling as usual and will never surrender to Israel. I hope and pray there will be peace, but history shows peace is not an option. Jerusalem will continue to be a stumbling block until Christ returns.

Yet somehow they come to a state of peace before E38...
