Hamas said to kill over 30 Gazans, publicly execute 7, as it reasserts its grip on Strip

Hamas gunmen tightened their grip in Gaza on Monday and Tuesday, sources in the Strip said, including carrying out public executions.

Hamas has killed at least 33 people since a ceasefire took effect on Friday in a crackdown on groups that have tested its grip, sources in the strip said, having apparently got a US nod to temporarily police the shattered enclave.

In a stark assertion of the group’s return, fighters executed several men they accused of collaborating with Israeli forces. In one video circulated late on Monday, Hamas fighters dragged seven men into a circle of people in Gaza City, forced them to their knees and shot them from behind. A Hamas source confirmed the authenticity of the video.

I wish that the negotiators (Witkoff and Kushner) would have lost some skin in this stupid game.

It always lands on Israeli blood shed to "prove" to the idiots in the West that Hamas can't be trusted!!!! Ya THINK???

So once again Kushner and Witkoff get to walk away leaving Israel to pick up the tab.

And then of course Qatar- that "ally" of the west, who is profiting nicely from their failed attempts to help broker the deal. What do they pay???? Now that Trump and the USA have promised to come to their aid if Israel ever tries to kill terrorists on their soil again.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) is threatening Hamas to stop murdering Gazans and immediately disarm.

An important statement when it comes from the US military leadership: the US military will not enter Gaza to dismantle Hamas, but the message is that another army will.

Let me just add this to @Margery excellent post above. The way Trump et al have gone about claiming victory and credit for hostage release is bad for Netanyahu. When the initial euphoria of the hostage release wears off it would not suprise me for the Israeli opposition to ramp up their goal of ousting Netanyahu. It will be very easy to blame the PM for not getting the hostages out himself. I am happy the living hostages have been returned but I can see where this can be bad for the current Israeli government now and next year when they are in their next election cycle.

And so the dissatisfaction with Netanyahu begins... in his own party...

Likud MK: 'Witkoff and his group are leading us to hell'

Knesset member from the Likud party Amit Halevi attacked Witkoff and Kushner on Monday in an interview with Galei Tzahal, saying that "Witkoff, Kushner and their group are leading us to the gates of hell."

"The next step is to push us to the gates of hell; that's what it means to bring in the Qataris, the Turks, and the Emiratis. None of them will come when there's a Hamas gun pointed at their backs—that's clear to everyone, so these things are just illusions being sold to the public."

"Steve Witkoff should have realized long ago that the Middle East is not like running a business in Miami," said the Knesset member. "It's time for the West to understand a bit more deeply the enemy it faces and to respond accordingly."

Sunday night, CBS aired an interview with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the architects of the hostage deal and the formulators of President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, on the program "60 Minutes."

"The way we structured the deal," they said, "we gave it enough leeway to avoid the technical difficulties that happened in the past and tried to define everything as much as possible. This put the ball in Hamas’s court and turned the Arab world against them, because now the Arab world supported [the deal] – and President Trump convinced Israel to support the deal. So within two weeks, instead of Israel, Hamas became isolated globally, and their Arab supporters pressed them to close the deal."

and this is from the opposition party...

Lapid: 'US dictated Gaza arrangement to us, Netanyahu turned us into a vassal state'

Opposition leader Yair Lapid said at the beginning of the faction meeting that "the US dictated to Israel an arrangement in Gaza." He added: "Make no mistake, I trust the Trump administration much more than I trust Netanyahu's extremist and negligent government - and still with his own hands Netanyahu is turning us into a vassal state that receives dictates regarding its security."
(Moran Azulay)

Gantz: 'We will not be Netanyahu's 61st vote, it's important he step aside'

Blue and White party chairman Benny Gantz said at the beginning of his faction meeting that he would not be "Netanyahu's 61st vote." Gantz added: "To all the commentators and briefers trying to construct delusional scenarios, I think a government with 61 or 62 seats is bad for Israel. It's important that Netanyahu step aside through democratic elections, but even more important that extremists stop controlling us and forcing draft evasion upon us. Anyone who says we will be Netanyahu's 61st vote is lying."

Israeli security officials voiced frustration over the government's decision to resume humanitarian aid to Gaza starting Monday, after initially stopping it in response to an incident in the Strip. The reversal, they said, came under US pressure.

The renewed aid will be allowed in despite a decision hours earlier by Israel's political leadership to suspend it following a serious escalation in Rafah, where Hamas terrorists violated the ceasefire deal, launching anti-tank missiles and small-arms fire at IDF troops.

In response, Israel launched a wide-ranging retaliatory operation striking over 100 targets across the Strip. Alongside the strikes, Israeli officials decided to stop humanitarian aid shipments and keep the Rafah Crossing closed.

I see a lot of righteous anger there. Looking at the big picture though, Israel, via long ago agreements, was/is dependent on the USA for war weapons it needs/needed for its survival.

That relationship still exists. Until Israel can stand on its own with regard to weapons production, it'll have to submit somewhat to the will of Washington D.C.

Trump's taking credit for everything probably doesn't help things.

The deal for various enemies of Israel (and the USA) to help police and administer gaza is horrible for Israel

Possibly an anticipated failure?

Many of us figured out that Hamas are sub-human thugs who can not carry out this peace treaty. They will prove that to those in the world who are able to accept facts and stop blaming the Jews. (And members of Hamas can come to Jesus for life. When Netanyahu called Hamas the Amalekites I finally understood why God commanded Israel to kill all of them. There’s a level of depravity in that group of people that deserves God’s judgement.)

Maybe I’m off, but my guess is that Israel will get a green light by Trump and go back in to wipe out Hamas. The world propaganda machines like Aljazeera won’t have the grand pity party for Hamas as they used to.

Possibly an anticipated failure?

I don't think so. Though It's possible.

I think the Trump administration will continue to try and force peace and carry out the plan. hamas, the organization, may come to realize that this episode has played out and they're better off living to fight another day.

Bibi will likely be Churchilled (voted out of office) after being used by God to save Israel under very difficult circumstances. The idjit who takes his place will probably know a time of relative peace.

Agreed.

The vultures are circling Bibi, blaming him for the American pressure via Witkoff over this whole horrible deal.

Witkoff is NOT Israel's friend, I'm not even sure he's an asset for the USA.

He is on the side of Qatar all day every day, because he's essentially on their payroll. Just the hotel deal ( worth 1 Billion) that he was at least 1/2 a BILLION in over his head for, and plenty since. I think if it all got added up it's in the Billions plural!

Israel as you point out gave up a LOT of sovereignty when they made that weapons deal with the US that meant they would limit home grown weapon production in exchange for that deal that benefited the US every bit as much- namely US "aid" money to Israel with the demand that it never be spent on anything else but US made weapons.

The money went straight to arms purchases (which Biden decided to hold off delivering). Thankfully Trump has kept weapons flowing to Israel, but it got a little testy there when Israel wanted to get into Iran and Trump held back till Israel started it anyway)

In short the US gave a boost to US weapon manufacturing via Israel. Israel took that deal and has thanked the US by sharing tweaks and innovations (the "golden dome" is taken straight from the original Israeli Iron dome, and there are various things done to the jets that the US benefits by). Israel also shares a lot of Intel with the US that has saved US lives in the Middle East.

And Israel began to bargain for hostages ending a long rule of not doing so. I forget when exactly, but it's guaranteed that hostages have become worth grabbing.

This morning I saw a headline about the 2000 prisoners that Israel released in exchange. They are heading right back into "service".

Whoever succeeds Bibi will face even more bloodshed and hostages.

And then there is the contentious issue in Christian and Israeli circles of DIVIDING THE LAND of ISRAEL!

I know Amir always says that the Trump deals (2020 and this one) aren't actually dividing the land- except they really really are. I know Amir and the Israelis have lots of reasons to be glad of Trump's help, they DO! Especially when compared to Biden.

But God doesn't "grade on the curve"! Good intentions don't matter when it comes to dividing the land of Israel.

I won't rehash why that 2020 deal that got shelved was dividing the land, but it was.

And THIS time round Trump himself announced that Israel wouldn't be allowed!!!! to annex Judea and Samaria aka "the West Bank"! Let me remind everyone, this was OBAMA'S demand- carve off the West Bank, leaving both Gaza on one side, and the West Bank on the other with SUICIDE borders in the middle only 6 miles wide for Israel at some serious choke points.

We all KNEW Obama was wrong, but this came from TRUMP and where is the outrage???? I know Trump is supportive of Israel and Obama/Biden hated them, but when it comes to borders, it's the same same thing.

Trump is GIVING GAZA back to the Gazans in this deal, while considering keeping an ownership share in Gaza with his Gaza future resort plans.

Again, best of intentions but it's still dividing the land, and giving it away to Israel's enemies who haven't changed their plans to wipe out Israel. "from the River to the Sea" they chant.

It didn't work under Bush Jr when he tore Gaza out of Israel and gave it to the same people in 2005. It's 20 years later. Nothing has changed except 2 years ago these people attacked Israel.

NOW THEY ARE BEING REWARDED!

This will NOT go well. I know we all get mad at what Macron, Carney and others tried to do at the UN, declaring a state of Palestine, but what is THIS?????

This is the EXACT SAME THING only the names are changed. Instead of Palestine, we call it Gaza. Instead of the UN administering it (worse than the USA by far) we have the US administering it thru the exact same people (Egypt, Qatar) that built tunnels under Rafah to funnel weapons and cash into Hamas so they could attack Oct 2013.

MY bottom line is HOW DOES GOD VIEW ALL THIS????

But what can Israel do when they are relying on the US to supply their weapons :noidea: Aside from trusting God alone, of course, but as we know...

Trump SHOULD be criticized severely when he is going against what he campaigned on. (To do the best for Israel as an ally)

I am not understanding why Bibi took the deal at all when we know he KNOWS the enemy like the back of his hand. Unless God allowed him a blindness in this particular instance. 🤔
Maybe he would rather be voted out for this than to leave office having never gotten the hostages back plastered on his record.

Or maybe he knew Hamas would never keep the deal. But in the meantime he would have the hostage back.

BINGO! Agree completely! The Hostages! Key to the whole thing. Bibi wants them HOME! And maybe they matter far more to him than his career in politics. Israel has always come first with him. And he reads and believes the OT scriptures.

Yesterday I started to realize how God's hand has been in the whole Qatari scandal. For without that financial closeness between Qatar and Witkoff as well as Trump and his family- those hostages would still be suffering.

God took them out of their captivity, returned them to Israel, and now phase 2 begins. .

This deal stinks. It's falling apart. It's let 2000 hardened terrorists back out of Israel's prisons. They're back out "on the streets" and I doubt they'll remain in Gaza or the so called West Bank. They are going to turn up all over the West.

The West has pushed for this 2 state solution, the Suicide borders. It doesn't matter what we call it. Gaza, Palestine, whatever it is called IT STINKS.

And now the hostages are home, at least the few that remained alive. And 2000 terrorists roam free.

Witkoff and Vance are on the way to Israel for part 2 of this deal. Today, Monday. Supposedly part 2 involves Hamas laying down their arms and establishing the alternative authority to administer Gaza.

Phase 2 is the part where Gaza gets given away for the second time, out of Israeli hands who fought hard to win this battle, only to have it taken from them and awarded to their enemy.

How can it go to phase two when ALL the hostages have NOT been returned to Israel??????????????
Why did Israel give ALL their terrorist prisoners to Gaza when Gaza did not do the same?????????????
They should have held some of them back.............
This a very crappy deal that Kushner and Witcoff have going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
