Hamas attacks Israeli forces in Gaza amid ceasefire extension efforts

Almost Heaven

Well-known
Hamas terrorists attacked Israeli forces in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday as efforts continued to extend the ongoing ceasefire, according to initial reports.

Shortly after the reported incident the spokesperson for Hamas's al-Qassam Brigades Abu Obeidah claimed that Israeli forces had committed a "clear violation" of the ceasefire in the northern Gaza Strip and that Hamas had "dealt with this violation."

Israeli forces in the northern Gaza Strip were targeted by three explosive devices in two separate incidents on Tuesday afternoon in violation of the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Hamas, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

Additionally, shots were fired at Israeli forces in one of the incidents. Several soldiers were lightly wounded in the attacks and IDF soldiers responded by firing at the sources of gunfire. The IDF has stayed within the agreed-upon lines of the ceasefire, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit stressed.

I am watching I-24 news live on my TV. The latest release of hostages has been put on hold. Israel has been offered all the hostages and soldiers returned (dead and alive) if they stop the war NOW!!!

I can't even imagine the pressure the US, UN and Qatari's are putting on Israel at this moment in time.
God Bless Israel! Give them wisdom. strength and courage!

Here comes the pressure to make the cease fire permanent...

Mossad Chief to meet with CIA Director in Qatar

The primary objective of these talks is to finalize plans for the release of an additional 20 hostages currently held in the Gaza Strip by Hamas and other terrorist groups.

Additionally, there are considerations for a potential extension of the truce to guarantee the liberation of all women and children in captivity.

Burns is slated to meet with Barnea and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. Qatar, serving as a mediator between Israel and Hamas, plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication and negotiation.

The pressure continues to mount...

Qatar seeks deal for all Israeli captives in Gaza as 10 set for release

The first arrangement could see the release of 20 to 30 Israelis over the next two to three days through an extension of an existing deal, leaving slightly less than 150 in captivity by Sunday. The issue is highly pressurized because that existing deal is set to expire Thursday morning with the resumption of the war.

The second larger deal under discussion would allow for those 150 Israeli captives, out of the 240 hostages Hamas seized during its infiltration of southern Israel on October 7, to be freed.

The world wants to reward hamas for taking hostages. I hope Israeli leadership isn't so foolish to accept what the world is pressuring them to do. Israel is already being played like a fiddle...
