Gulf of America, Mount McKinley are set to appear in Google Maps

Google Maps will be using President Trump’s new names, including the Gulf of America, once the U.S. Geological Survey’s Geographic Names Information System is updated.

The GNIS currently lists the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s Denali, which will change to Mount McKinley. The Interior Department announced the name updates Friday as a move “honoring American greatness.”

“We have a longstanding practice of applying name changes when they have been updated in official government sources. … When that happens, we will update Google Maps in the U.S. quickly to show Mount McKinley and Gulf of America,” Google wrote on X Monday.

I believe Mt. McKinley is a symbolic gesture regarding coming tarrifs use.

And I think that is pretty cool that Google is going to rename the Gulf of Mexico. In general, its ironic to go from Trump being laughed at and desired by Hillary to be her running opponent in 2016, to a man who reliables the world...lol.
