Guess Who Converted to Christianity for Easter!

TCC

Well-known

Christians received an encouraging Easter message from an unlikely source!

. . . . .

This is an 8 minute video dipicting a unique claim coming out of Palestine. I have liked this YT channel for a few years now. Please note how many views it has in just a few hours (at the time of posting). This is not unique to this channel. Largly dedicated to evangelized the Muslim world.

The term Jesus is King has gotten a huge amount of social media press over the past year or so in contrast to the Israel/Palestinian challenges. To such an extent, to me, it almost seems to reach prophetic levels of attention. Attesting to a grand age approaching of transition, from church to Israel age. I thought this was an interesting nod of the hat to similar effect. :) Blessings.

Me too! Did you hear that his friend The Apostate Prophet is claiming Faith in Jesus Christ now. Unfortunately, he joined an Orthodox Church but I’m hoping he accepted the actual Gospel. A long way from when he was stating he was an Atheist.
Yes I did. I'm hopeful too. What I really like about this ministry is that it really primes itself on the matter-of-factness of ministry. They have lots of fun. And are often extremely entertaining. But demonstrate how real and down to earth even, if we will, how that which Christ has brought us may also demonstrate to others the common grace available. And in such magnanimously practical ways.

I'm glad to see it has such a following. Really the only ministry i know of its kind. :) And is true to its roadshow title.

At least Orthodox Churches don't worship the Pope or believe he's infallible. They actually have a huge issue with the modern Papacy, and especially Pope Francis. They were the original Protestants back in 1054 (Great Schism). One of many issues was adoption of the Filioque ("and the Son") by the Western Church, in violation of the ecumentical agreement at Nicea about the Creed. Orthodox do have some doctrines and practices that I don't agree with and most (probably all) on the board here would have serious issues with, but yes on all the core beliefs IAW the Apostle's Creed :) I've never met an Orthodox believer, who didn't love Jesus and wasn't grateful for His work on the cross for us. The underground Orthodox Church in some countries, wow, they have it really hard

Wow, that's great news!

Prayerfully the Lord will lead him to a solid evangelical fellowship, he sure did that with me. As an adult baby Christian I thought every type of church believed the same thing. I didn't attend any church my first year but had started reading my Bible. When I began to look for a church I first attended a Methodist church, they weren't too authentic so I ended up in a PCUSA (Presbyterian) for a couple of years, another mistaken path.

That’s funny to see a similarity in our walks. When I first got saved, I didn’t go to any church for several months while I just read the Bible. First I landed at a Church of Christ church for 3 months, then a seeker friendly one for 3 months, and then a Charismatic Church for a year and a half. I realized the error there and took a 6 month break before finally finding myself at a an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. I’ve been at Fundamental Independent Baptist churches ever since.

I didn't know how to read, not even my ABCs, when I was blessed with saving faith in Molly's Sunday School class.

Does asking Mommy to read from the Bible Story Book for my bedtime story count?

When I first got saved I started to attend Church on the Way and was baptized by Jack Hayford. Very well known at the time. I ended up in a smaller Charismatic church for a few years. When I heard Macarthur on the radio, I wondered why we were not getting such deep teaching (he was considered the arch enemy of Charismatics...so no small step for me). So I went to his church and there first learned to study the bible (or that one could actually study it). As I told Macarthur's church, there was more Charismatic like supernatural experiences at Macarthurs cessationist church than there was for me at the Charismatic church. Then got freaked out over the church scene some years later. Left for 4 years. Came back to Macarthur's church. And 3 years later got into the nuts and bults of where they were coming from. That took another 7 years to land on non-Calvinist Christianity. I had no idea TULIP was not the gospel. And was kind of shocked I was a Calvinist without realizing it. Now I'm at a church by the ironic same name, but not reformed. Pretty sound biblically.

As far as reading, I was pretty biblically illiterate for years. But slowly learned how to understand different forms of writing the bible uses. Like narrative, poetry, prophecy, etc. So I learned about grammar I think mostly through my interest in scripture. When I entered college I was forced to take English as a Second Language remedial course. lol. @Ghoti, I think being read to at bedtime, most certainly counts. :) Blessings.
