It's definitely an issue that needs a country wide firm redirect. We can't have states making up their own voting rules. I live in Washington and it's been mail-in voting for years.
I'm no Constitutional expert, but I believe that the Constitution puts voting in the hands of the states. When there is fraud though, I imagine the Federal govmint would be right to step in and create legislation to prevent the fraud.
It's illegal, for example for a state to allow a non-citizen to vote. Because there are thousands of instances of voter fraud via machine voting, I think it would be good if the Federal govmint banned the machines. Simple tabulation machines might be okay if precautions are taken with them.
