I think you've said what I've been feeling/sensing better than I've been able to.
When the time comes, the masses will gush brainlessly over the antichrist.
I agree there is certainly flighty and fickle mindedness in the country for sure. On one extreme we have those seeing this as a psyop (like well respected Catheryn Austin Fitts). On the other extreme would be something of this nature where its passing social integestion. And of course every imaginable conspiracy theory inbetween. However, what I believe might be also helpful to consider though is what trajectory might be in grander play.
Based on 2016, results, it would have been considered pretty unlikely Trump, who was laughed at out of the room by the media (I think Ann Coulter was the only one thinking Trump might make it through the primaries) to be able to make true candidacy. Then we saw years of the media constantly talk of the end of Trump's term early (as he survived 4 years of Russia Gate). Then COVID. Then the appearance of a stolen election in 2020 (it would not have seemed that the country was more interested in Biden than Trump for 2020--but just that the propaganda media knew how to correct their mistake of letting the voting system select a president in 2016). Then Trump campaign year 2024 riddled with unprecidented American kangaroo court systems to distract him from the campaign trail (one that started 2 years prior to the election). And yet Trump mug shot made him money and became a non-issue. Then MAGA base fallout regarding H1B Visas. Then the MAGA fallout over Epstein. And yet...
54,000 requests for Turning Point chapters to be installed in college campuses throughout the country since Kirk's death (not to mention the overall shockwaves of this event sent throughout the world). And 87% of Rassmussen polled a few days ago have Dems believing that media demonization is main contributor to increasing violence in culture, a Trump position (in the midst of over 2 million--at least--Dems leaving their own party just since 2020 election).
Between the 2020 and 2024 presidential elections, Democrats lost about 2.1 million voters across the 30 states that track registration by political party.

. . . . .
Although it is clear there are a lot of developments to watch as they form scenarios leaning into and toward a coming beast system and man of lawlessness emergence (the tribulation) and it be reasonable to consider watchfully, I would submit caution in the overlaying of our evangelical views in competition to rubber meeting the road providential developments. As an example in progress perhaps respectfully to consider, Kirk was not known as being a representative of the Christian Church. But a conservative, who had Christain values. Because of Kirk's willingness to boldly challenge college campuses in major ways the church in general had not reached effective ways of so doing, this might suggest fairly loudly at least two things perhaps to consider in its wake:
GOD POTENTIALLY USURPING CHURCH INFLUENCE THROUGH PROVIDENCE
* As Christianity in America has been discerned publicly as shifting toward an offering of its own pop-cultural view of itself, it would not be exactly innacurate to state that the degree to which the church could reach the world via college campuses dwarfs in comparison to the grass roots Kirk approach. In the reformed world we have had the Steve Lawson massive fallout and the Allestar Begg massive fallout. In the eschatological world, it could be seen by the world and even the church in how evangelicalism seems to contribute to its own inbred cultural demise of rapture delay exhaustion syndrome and commercial eschatological pop-culture craze. But grass-roots inroads to young college campus minds...would not typically be understood to be among church cultural effectiveness. In one way it could be said, Israel perhaps reached USA college minds better (sybmolically through Ben Shapiro in his hey day toward conservative thought brought to college campuses). And in the later years, controversially conservative Kirk (a symbol of MAGA) to reach said colleges transcending Shapiro by far. But in large part, the church in college reach is pretty much on the sidelines of Providence in this matter. Suggesting the role God's Providence overarching themes plays, trancending post-modern church/secular outreach attempts, is the Lionshare effect upon the nation and the world. Implying perhaps instead of potential trends toward a beast system views, it could just be the hour coming near as the ending need and value of the church proper despensation coming to a close here (perhaps more than it being a focus on the tribulation--it being a focus on God's forming towering providential role taking the church lead because of His preparation not for the tribulaiton as much as for the 70th week themes He has for Israel...as the church's insights possibly fading in the backdrop of a more prominent role God the Father begins to take over in place of the fading need of the church in an era to have come full circle).
A WILLINGNESS TO CONSIDER PROVIDENTIAL ROADWAYS THAT COULD HAVE HIGHER RELEVANCE IMPACT THAN HOW EVANGELICALISM OTHERWISE CONSIDERS
* This might sound a bit aggressive and perhaps too forward. To the degree it might, I apologize. It's not meant that way. I do consider things like if we have an internet outtage, what might be some of the most important points for us to perhaps consider today if it is our last day online--reasoning, type thing. So please consider this in that way, amen. But the general tendency I have noticed now for the short 9 years I ever cared about eschatology, is a tendency in the church at large to consider its views overly relevant. That is not to say that we don't have relevant views. I am grateful for this forum and others that offer opportunities to discuss eschatology in a fellowship oriented way, amen. But some of the bigger themes I have just noticed in evangelicalism in general is that on one hand it is totally awesome and great that we aspire (even in our eschatological nuances and differences) to consider one another in the body of Christ whilst also on the other hand have very sober regard for sound eschatological hermeneutics proper. And this is very precious in the church, amen. But within that it tends to seem difficult to some degree to perhaps in ways consider how to think in scope or ways outside of the paradigms we believe are most salient in eschatological trajectory proper. So I guess in that what I am suggesting in contrast to perhaps the fickle nature of man and the coming beast system, is just how God alternatively might be demonstrating His Providence to the church more than perhaps overly fitting in with our views upon this or that kind of thing. In one way, a secularist might be able to think, "With Kirk, if God used Him, might in how He did be upstaging the church...where the church was not as effective there?"...be an actual thought. But I'm not exactly saying that. But more like: If God demonstrates His power to convey two very extremely important things (the gospel and the golden rule of communication to a planet that has all but forgotten it--even generically within the church in many [not all] specturms), and we try too much to put a label on that (in contrast to very apparent and obvious trends occuring right under our noses for the past decade) so as to fit our conceptions of prophecy to be fulfilled, I would just humbly ask us to consider perhaps that is not as part of the literal providential conversation God might actually be having with His own church in our day and age. One that might shine a light more on Him than our views. Or our sense of how blueprint Eschatology rollsout in our hearts and minds. However it does roll out will be biblical. Amen. But to me it just seems that what God has been doing these last 10 years Is moving nations through conservative political posture adoption for the sake of securing Israel for her peace and safety prophetic moment. Yet in all the years of prophecy conference, that perspective likely got all but 10 seconds of consideration. A potential that seems to have been constitently evolving without detour (some might even argue) for a decade now.
In any event, just thought to offer this potential take in light of such recent loud events taking place. Thanks for letting me share. Blessings.
