Today was another devastating day in Israel as the death count grew to 1,200 people – the population equivalent of 48,000 Americans. The IDF has announced that 189 soldiers are among those killed.

Members of Congress continued to voice overwhelming support for the Jewish state. 392 House members have cosponsored a resolution backing Israel, and a similar bipartisan resolution was announced in the Senate.
Israel is preparing for a massive ground operation in Gaza. The Israeli Air Force continued to strike key Hamas targets across the coastal enclave, hitting 2,600 sites. Hamas has made civilian sites in Gaza military targets, deliberately using human shields to protect its weapons and fighters.
