Exclusive — Rep. Mark Harris on Spiritual Battle in America: Demonic Oppression Is Real

There is a very real spiritual battle going on in America, Rep. Mark Harris (R-NC) — who served as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Charlotte — said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.

“The bottom line is that there are activities that we do and steps that we take that open the door for demonic activity and for demonic oppression,” he said, pointing to drug abuse, for example.

“And there’s no question in my mind that oftentimes that that’s what gets things started. And yes, it does affect the brain and everything else over time,” he said of opening the door to dark spiritual forces.

“That’s the reason I think we’ve got to get back in this country to recognizing a mental illness for what it is. And I’ve said a long time that when we start trying to affirm mental illness rather than treat it, that’s when people get hurt,” he continued, explaining that leftists are hurting people and essentially contributing to this deeper problem by affirming things that should not be affirmed.

“Some board gets together and decides, no, that’s not a mental illness anymore. And we need to affirm that behavior and affirm that activity that is completely contrary to, you know, what the Bible says, and really contrary to what is natural law and human law,” Harris said. “I mean, we’ve just got to open our eyes man and recognize the realities that are happening around us.”

Every so often someone on TV or the internet discussed the changes of heroes and themes and fascination of American kids from cowboys and cowboy movies to aliens and spacemen, etc. I always agreed with those observations and still do. During the switch and with the massive increase in movie special effects, we had some really incredible movies.....2001, Close Encounters, Star Wars, etc. With the fact that aliens are demons, I suppose it's no surprise that demon possession and the byproducts across our planet (not just the USA) would have contribution from this pop entertainment switch. I still believe demons and demon possession has ties to many things of the past 100 or so years of radio to movies to tv to internet to social media at the reach in our pockets......religion and the new age movement, the eco earth first movement, unscriptural secular music, books and magazines, and even toys and games.

We are a very easily duped and steered humanity with fascinations in everything EXCEPT the Bible; and the electronic age more than anything is sending it to every corner of the earth and in front of the eyes and ears of virtually everyone.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that my sibling, who has been diagnosed with major depression, schizophrenia, and paranoia, and who is now involved with wicca, witchcraft, and drugs, most likely including LSD, is demon-possessed, or at least oppressed. All of us kids were brought up Christian, were Baptized, professed faith, and were Confirmed. At one time, it was very evident that sibling was saved, and has said and done some things that together lead me to believe later deceived, so I've stuck this one in Jesus' in-box and treat it in the pattern of the prodigal returning (someday) and stand on what I think is a promise in Proverbs:

6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
