Eric Adams drops out of NYC mayoral race amid increasing pressure: ‘I know I cannot continue my campaign’

Mayor Eric Adams is dropping out of New York City’s mayoral race amid escalating pressure to clear the crowded field in a last-ditch attempt to stop socialist Zohran Mamdani’s election to City Hall.

The bombshell move comes after weeks of back-and-forth over whether Adams would bow out of the race, in which he is polling fourth, far behind frontrunner Mamdani, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and also, Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.

Adams — who repeatedly vowed to stay in the race despite being in a distant fourth place in the polls — dropping out now gives Cuomo a boost against his socialist rival.

Either Cuomo or Sliwa needs to bow out now. Which I've, I don't know. Cuomo has the political smarts and knows how the city works at that level; but Sliwa knows the streets and the people and understands how the city works at that level.

One would have to have multi millions to run a campaign for New York City. The big donors are going with the commie to further the downfall of New York, and then the rest. If NYC is commie, it could get bad quickly. Just a few days with no food on the shelves would be chaos, not just there, but anywhere.

Hard to believe our largest city in the USA is so dysfunctional, ridiculous, and rogue that a 100% socialist marxist may win the mayor race or a leftist rabid liberal may defeat the socialist marxist. This type of stupidity was NEVER a part of pre-2010 America but is the way we are tracking for the future. Not good.
