⚠️ Summary of the Egyptian proposal:

1. All Israeli abductees will be returned, the living and the dead.
2. Israel will release approximately 4,000 prisoners from Israeli prisons, according to lists provided by Hamas.
3. The operatives of the military arm who were injured will be able to receive medical treatment outside the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
4. Israel undertakes not to re-arrest the prisoners it arrested - for the same offense.
5. The restoration of the Gaza Strip will begin, including the restoration of civilian infrastructure.
6. The IDF will withdraw from the areas of population concentration and will be located in the border area.
7. The displaced Palestinians will be returned to their homes.
8. Increased humanitarian aid will come in, including fuel and equipment for clearing the ruins and building infrastructure.
9. During the days of implementation of the deal, there will be indirect negotiations between the parties for a complete cessation of the war.
10. Hamas will undertake not to restore military infrastructure and will not strengthen militarily.

Cal me sarcastic, but it don't think it'll work.

1. All Israeli abductees will be returned, the living and the dead.
If Hamas can even find them.

2. Israel will release approximately 4,000 prisoners from Israeli prisons, according to lists provided by Hamas.
The list will contain the worst of the worst terrorists, that will surely attack Israel again.

3. The operatives of the military arm who were injured will be able to receive medical treatment outside the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
Every high officer will go out even with the tiniest of scratches.

4. Israel undertakes not to re-arrest the prisoners it arrested - for the same offense.
No, they better shoot them asap.

5. The restoration of the Gaza Strip will begin, including the restoration of civilian infrastructure.
Sure give them lampposts, so they can build rockets, and concrete for new tunnels.

6. The IDF will withdraw from the areas of population concentration and will be located in the border area.
Wash, rinse, repeat.

7. The displaced Palestinians will be returned to their homes.
Yeah, yeah.

8. Increased humanitarian aid will come in, including fuel and equipment for clearing the ruins and building infrastructure.
Ad infinitum.

9. During the days of implementation of the deal, there will be indirect negotiations between the parties for a complete cessation of the war.
You think Hamas wants to breath the same air with the Israelis?

10. Hamas will undertake not to restore military infrastructure and will not strengthen militarily.
Of course they won't.... Baloney.

That is what they live for! They train for terror against Israel! They will lie to achieve any goal. They will use their own for human shields! They will create pictures of wounded children/civilians to create sympathy for their side! THEY started this on Oct. 7th and it had to take years to get all those tunnels/weapons/safe places ready and No Hamas prisoners should be released that took part in the offensive, only to fight again.

Amir:

The negotiations for the "deal" are firmly stuck, because Hamas insists on an Israeli commitment + international guarantees (including Turkey's, that is, complicating relations with it even more) for a full Israeli withdrawal from the entire Gaza Strip, down to the last meter, and for complete freedom of movement for its people throughout the entire strip , i.e. the victory parade of Sinwar and the Haniya.

The insistence on a full withdrawal indicates that he has already received American guarantees for his main demand, that the war not resume after the first cease-fire.

Israel wants the release of (a few) hostages in an agreement, but Hamas wants victory, and he understands that the pressure on the Bidens is so great, that he will also accept it.

This is a farce, which Israel must end. Did you say a last and final offer? Stand by it.

Israel to Hamas: Accept the terms. Make a deal. You have one week. Then we enter Rafah.

I'm praying hard that Israel doesn't get backed into a corner with America on this one. They need the freedom to move. Those hostages are long gone most of them, and while bringing the bodies home is a good idea, if they are alive, they may well turn up when Israel goes in.
