Egypt Rallies Support Against Trump's Gaza Plan

Apr 08, 2025

Thousands of Egyptians rallied near the border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday in a show of solidarity with the Palestinians and to underline Cairo's rejection of President Donald Trump's proposal for moving people out of the territory.

Why It Matters
The protests are a sign of Egypt's growing concern over the proposal for moving Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip, which has been devastated by war since Hamas attacked Israel from there in October 2023. Egypt, which once ruled Gaza, has been proposed as a potential destination for some of its residents.

Trump doubled down on the plan on Monday in comments at the White House at a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The aim would be to relocate Gaza's population and turn the territory into a prime real estate project. The proposal was swiftly rejected by Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab U.S. allies, who called instead for an end to the war and a return to a path to the so-called two-state solution for a Palestinian state alongside Israel.

The leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan in a joint call urged Trump to back a Gaza ceasefire, humanitarian aid access, and the release of Israeli hostages being held by Hamas. They stressed the need for a political path, international efforts to ease Palestinian suffering, and a two-state solution, according to Egypt's presidential spokesperson.

Bubba News gives perspective on Egypt's proposal and how Egypt's current national situation and what is driving Egypt to impose their position on the plan for the Palestinians and Gaza could lead to some Prophetic outcomes

Sisi’s Deadly Gamble: Is Egypt 🇪🇬 Plotting A War with Israel? 🇮🇱

Cairo’s alleys are abuzz with fear—bread 🥖🍞 is a luxury, lights blink out, jobs are ghosts. Yet 12 miles from Gaza, 100 American tanks glare across Israel’s border, their steel promising fire.

President Sisi isn’t building peace,he’s poured $15.7 billion into weapons, cyber hacks, & alliances with Israel’s foes, leaving his 106 million people to starve.

For Egyptians, it’s a knife in the back; for Israel’s families, a STORM IS BREWING. Is Egypt plotting war with Israel? The signs scream it’s VERY close, & the fallout will shatter millions on both sides.

Picture Sinai’s sands, where the 1979 Egypt-Israel treaty bans heavy arms. Egypt has 100 M1 Abrams tanks and 180 battalions, thousands of troops, parked close to Gaza, with barrels aimed east, not at insurgents 70 km away, per Ynet (March 31, 2025).

These tanks aren’t for Wilayat Sinai’s(sinai insurgents) bombs, they match Israel’s 400 Merkava tanks, per Defense News (April 15, 2025).

He’s stockpiled $1 billion in fuel, ⛽️ 50,000 tonnes diesel, and shells, enough for war, not patrols, per Israeli sources (April 20, 2025). His $500 million drills in 2024–2025 play out urban combat, Israel’s Gaza style, not desert chases of sinai insurgents.

Some say it’s posturing, but 90% of Egyptians back Gaza, but hunger trumps cheers, and these tanks look ready to roll.

Teaming up with Israel's enemies, Sisi is not going solo; he’s teamed up with Israel’s enemies.

Since 2013, Gaza’s tunnels, over 10 cross border tunnels were found in 2024, smuggled Hamas rockets, Haaretz (June 12, 2024).

Critics argue Sisi hates Hamas’s Muslim Brotherhood roots, as he’s jailed 30,000 MB since 2013—but tunnels suggest he’s using them to jab Israel, per Middle East Institute (2024). In 2023.

Yemen’s Houthis hit Red Sea ships, costing Egypt’s Suez $1 billion, then $7 billion by 2024, per Reuters (August 15, 2024). Sisi had skipped U.S.-UK strikes, per Al-Monitor (January 20, 2024), aiding Iran’s chaos.

Logically thinking, you wuld expect he would want to end this threat to the Suez revenue as he badly needs it to stabilize Egypt, but yet sisi and his government is just taking the loss.

That doesnt make sense.....unless Egypt shares the goals of the Houthis and its puppetmaster, Iran 🇮🇷

El-Sisi visited Tehran in May 2024, a FIRST VISIT TO IRAN since 1979.

Turkey 🇹🇷 is bigger—Erdogan, slamming Israel as “Nazi-like” (March 2025), met Sisi in 2023, per Al-Jazeera (September 10, 2023).

In February, Egypt fired 200-km missiles in naval drills 100 km from Israel, per Defense News (February 28, 2025).

Sisi hosted Syria’s terrorist group HTS, vowing “Jerusalem’s fall,” in 2025, per Al-Monitor (April 10, 2025).

This isn’t diplomacy—it’s a gang-up, and Egypt’s ALL IN.

Here’s the catch: America 🇺🇸 IS PAYING FOR IT.

Egypt gets $1.3 billion yearly—$3 billion in 2025 for HIMARS, per Defense News (January 15, 2025). Since 2018, $23 billion built Sisi’s toys, per SIPRI (2024).

He says “insurgents,” is keeping the U.S. aid flowing—2009’s $200 million shift shows leniency, per Congressional Research Service. But his $200 million cyber hacks hit IDF ports in 2024, per Reuters (December 10, 2024), and he axed $15 billion in Israel’s gas, per Times of Israel (February 5, 2025). The U.S. and Gulf allies ($15 billion, 2023–2024, Al-Monitor) push peace—Netanyahu’s 2025 talks, per Axios, beg restraint—but Sisi’s HTS love risks Saudi ire, per Middle East Institute (2025). Aid’s no leash when generals, running 20% of GDP, want tanks.

Egypt is dying inside
Food’s 45% imported—wheat for 60% poor, gone in war, per World Bank (2024). GERD’s cut 13 billion cubic meters of Nile since 2022, killing farms, per Egyptian studies (2025). Delta crops, 60%, rot from salt, per FAO (2024). Jobs have vanished —23% youths, 7 million, jobless, 1.7 million are added yearly, per ILO (2024). Slums choke 40%; 3 million homes short. Healthcare’s 4.9 beds per 1,000; 17% diabetic, no drugs, per WHO (2024).

BubbaNews

Schools jam 40 kids per teacher; blackouts gut shops, per Egypt’s Education Ministry (2024). Sisi’s $15.7 billion could’ve hired 500,000, fed 40 million, housed 200,000. Instead, it’s war prep, and the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD— 20% slum recruitment, per 2024 estimates—is waiting to pounce. War won’t save Sisi—2011’s 30% jobless revolt proves it.

Turkey 🇹🇷 is the spark.
Turkey’s Homs bases in Syria is 200 km from Israel, and wield S-400s, per the Times of Israel (April 5, 2025).

HTS dreams of Jerusalem, per Syrian Observatory (2025). Hamas’s 2023 attack killed 1,200, per BBC—Egypt’s tunnels fed it, per Haaretz (2024).

Turkey backs Hamas and might join Hezbollah, who was hit hard in 2024.

This circle—tanks, bases, rockets—grips Israel. IDF’s F-35s could win—2024’s Gaza ops have killed 10,000, per IDF—but El-Sisi may misjudge, banking on Turkey or HTS, per Reuters (2025).

War is definitely suicide—Suez ($3 billion loss), tourism ($13 billion, 2024). In the 1973 war, 8,000 Egyptian, 2,700 Israeli dead still haunt both sides.

Is Egypt plotting war?
The ODDS are perilously HIGH—tanks, tunnels since 2013, Turkey’s 2023–2025 push, the $15.7 billion ignoring 106 million cries of its Egyptian people.

Critics say that Egypt’s broke, and the IDF is too strong, but the Gulf states are watching. A Gaza clash, a Homs strike, or a MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD riot could light it AND SET IT ALL OFF.

EL-Sisi is rolling the dice with human lives, and the table’s shaking.

Next is another prophetic verse that does not yet appear to have found fulfillment. Because the idols of Egypt are tottering and the heart of the country is melting in its midst, severe civilian unrest begins to occur.

“I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor”… (Isaiah 19:2)

This civil strife quickly burgeons into a civil war, but doesn’t stop there. Ultimately, kingdoms begin to clash with each other. In this instance “kingdom against kingdom” appears to allude to a regional conflict. Presently, there are 3 predominant kingdoms in the region, the Jewish, Arab, and Persian, and observably they are all at odds with each other.

• Iran (Persian) is threatening to wipe the Jewish kingdom off of the map. • Most Arab countries don’t recognize Israel’s right to exist, and want the Jewish state to give up large portions of land for one more Arab state, called Palestine. • Most Arab countries are genuinely concerned that Iran wants to attain a nuclear weapons program in order to control the balance of power in the Middle East.

Isaiah 19:2 seemingly predicts a regional conflict in Egypt’s future. We will see in Isaiah 19:16-18 that this conflict appears to be between the Arab and Jewish kingdoms.

If this prophecy is for our time, then these verses imply that when the swift judgment comes that the Egyptians will consult their Muslim ☪️ clerics and imams to no avail.

Their Islamic counsel fails in the midst of the deteriorating circumstances, which ultimately makes Egypt 🇪🇬 susceptible to the takeover of a cruel dictator.

“The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers. And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master, And a FIERCE KING will rule over them,” Says the Lord, the LORD of hosts.” (Isaiah 19:3-4)

Some commentaries suggest that this cruel master was the Assyrian king Esarhaddon, who conquered Egypt in 671 B.C. Or Nebuchadnezzar in 568 B.C.

The Antichrist is yet another possibility, since he is involved in a FUTURE prophecy against Egypt in Daniel 11:42-43.

I think it is most probably an Egyptian leader rather than a foreign national like those listed above.

The next 5 verses can be commented upon collectively.
At the time of Egypt’s swift calamity, the ECONOMY WILL ENTIRELY COLLAPSE. Egypt’s fishing and textile industries that have historically been Egypt’s mainstay WILL GO BANKRUPT.

“The waters will fail from the sea, And the river will be wasted and dried up. The rivers will turn foul; The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up; The reeds and rushes will wither. The papyrus reeds by the River, by the mouth of the River, And everything sown by the River, Will wither, be driven away, and be no more. The fishermen also will mourn; All those will lament who cast hooks into the River, And they will languish who spread nets on the waters. Moreover those who work in fine flax And those who weave fine fabric will be ashamed; And its foundations will be broken. All who make wages will be troubled of soul.” (Isaiah 19:6-10)

The NILE RIVER WILL DRY UP.

Tourism could be added into these passages as well.

Although tourism was not a big source of revenue for Egypt during Isaiah’s time, it has been A MAINSTAY throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

Isaiah concludes by saying that “All who make wages will be troubled of soul.” This statement sums up Egypt’s entire economic predicament.

Egypt WILL EXPERIENCE AN UTTER ECONOMIC COLLAPSE. Egypt’s economy is already heading in this direction QUITE RAPIDLY. They are reliant upon foreign aid from Saudi Arabia, 🇸🇦 America, 🇺🇸 Turkey 🇹🇷 and elsewhere, now more than ever before. THE NEXT THING TO WATCH IS FOR A MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD EXPLOSION to bring changes politically, just like JOLANI did in Syria 🇸🇾 in December.

This is wild. Everyone from the leaders of the country, to the street workers, will be NOT able to process everything that is happening. They will all be befuddled. Most will lose their jobs. WISDOM will be lacking.

“Surely the princes of ZOAN are fools; Pharaoh’s wise counselors give foolish counsel. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, The son of ancient kings?” Where are they? Where are your wise men? Let them tell you now, And let them know what the LORD of hosts has purposed against Egypt. The princes of ZOAN have become fools; The princes of NOPH are deceived; They have also deluded Egypt, Those who are the mainstay of its tribes.

The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in her midst; And they have caused Egypt to err in all her work, As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

Neither will there be any work for Egypt, Which the head or tail, Palm branch or bulrush, may do.” (Isaiah 19:11-15)

To understand Isaiah’s chastisements in these verses, it is important to note that in the ancient world, Egypt was known for its superior wisdom.

These Isaiah 19:11-15 verses illustrate that, at the time the Isaiah 19 prophecy was issued, the pinnacle people and places in Egypt would be affected by this judgment. “The head or tail, Palm branch or bulrush,” referred to EVERYONE in Egypt, no matter what their station of life was at the time.

If this judgment occurred today, it would adversely affect everyone, including the Muslim Brotherhood and even through to the Tahrir Square street sweepers in Cairo.

No Egyptian will be able to escape the powerful grasp of Isaiah’s burden against Egypt.

AND FINALLY, When the IDF defeats the Egyptian army once again, then it is plausible that they will annex more Arab territory.

ISRAEL HAS A HISTORICAL PRECEDENT for doing this.
Acquiring land has been a historic pattern for Israel.

Joshua achieved this about 3500 years ago, and King David and his son King Solomon also accomplished this around 3000 years ago.

In both instances the land was annexed in the aftermath of Israeli conquests over the defeated Arab territories.

Even in modern history this pattern has repeated itself after the IDF victory in the Six-Day War in June of 1967. At that time Israel NEARLY TRIPLED its size by taking over Gaza, West Bank, Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, and the Sinai Peninsula.

Much of the world considers this “disputed territory,” and most of the Arab’s call it “occupied territory.” However, according to Genesis 15:18 the Bible identifies it as the Promised Land.

Inside of the Promised Land is all of the land acquired in 1967, and probably MUCH of the LAND, EAST of the NILE RIVER that is yet to be annexed.

It is possible that the 5 cities Isaiah 19:18 identifies will be located east of the Nile and will be acquired after Egypt’s defeat in Psalm 83.

Reminiscent of Damascus in Isaiah 17:1-4, and Ammon In Jeremiah 49:2, IN EGYPT, THERE WILL BE A CITY KNOWN GOING FORWARD, that will be referred to as the “CITY OF DESTRUCTION.”

It will be destroyed.
