Egg purchase restrictions take effect at more major US grocery stores

Costco, Kroger and Whole Foods are among the growing list of grocers that are putting a purchasing limit on eggs as supply shortages persist.

Companies started imposing limits on the product as the shortage caused by outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), or bird flu, persists, causing a frenzy among shoppers. Droves of viral videos have surfaced in recent weeks, showing shoppers stockpiling eggs. One video posted on TikTok claimed that an entire section of eggs at a Costco was gone in less than 10 minutes.

Amazon-owned Whole Foods posted signs on its shelves notifying customers that customers can only buy three cartons of eggs at one time.

"We are currently experiencing difficulty sourcing eggs that meet our strict animal welfare standards," a sign posted at one of its stores in New York City read.

Oh NOOOOOOO.

I might be right beside you with the same drug because I just went to the bedroom and checked. Mine is Synthroid too. But if it's American made, our Canadian drug supply will go for the cheapest and that might mean substitution because tariffs on anything made in America. Sigh.

I say AMEN when you post grace over your food, and like you I believe in saying grace over our meds, that God would bless it to HIS use and if we eat any deadly thing, that God would preserve us till He takes us home.

If you're familiar with ThyroidPatients.ca, there's a bunch of info on there, re Canadian thyroid drugs vs name-brand Synthroid and name-brand Cytomel.
I think if you're armed with information, you and your doc can make good choice(s) if need be.

Depending on how long The Lord tarries, maybe I have enough to last until :rapture:
Like the prayer I've prayed over food when it sure looked meager and insufficient:

Dear God, please let it be enough.
And if it's not, please make it more.
In Jesus' Name.
Amen.

I'm encouraged by God's past answer to prayers for provision.
I'm encouraged by the widow's jar of oil and jar of flour not running out in the midst of famine, and God's promise to always provide (consider the sparrows, etc.).
God ALWAYS keeps His promises.
Jesus rose from the dead. That's a pretty good indicator and pledge, in my book, anyway.

:thankyou:

It's the VA that's doing this, so this probably wouldn't affect you. Supposedly all through the VA system, but I'm not so sure, as it was my doc that wrote the exemption justification for brand-name prescribing under the changed formulary. I would think that if it were system-wide that some doc much higher up would be the one writing it. And probably with a high-up pharmacist.

I haven't been praying over my pills and supplements, but thanks to your post, I'm going to start.
