The Justice Department has requested that the Bureau of Prisons looks into ways to have ex-Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters transferred out of Colorado state prison and into a federal facility following her conviction last year and after President Donald Trump’s calls for her to be freed.

The Office of Deputy Attorney General, led by Todd Blanche, the second-in-command to Attorney General Pam Bondi, sent an email Wednesday evening to Bureau of PrisonsDirector William Marshall, Just the News has learned, calling on the BOP to look into how Peters could be moved from state prison into federal custody.

“FREE TINA PETERS, a brave and innocent Patriot who has been tortured by crooked Colorado politicians, including the big Mail-In Ballot supporting the governor of the State,” Trump said on Truth Social in August. “Let Tina Peters out of jail, RIGHT NOW. She did nothing wrong, except catching the Democrats cheat in the Election. She is an old woman, and very sick. If she is not released, I am going to take harsh measures!!!”

Appeals judge seems skeptical of sentence for pro-Trump Colorado clerk Tina Peters

A Colorado appeals court appeared skeptical of a sentence for a pro-Trump elections official convicted of assisting in a breach of elections equipment in 2020 on Wednesday.

While judges on the panel expressed little sympathy for the arguments from lawyers for former county clerk Tina Peters, they also grilled state lawyers. Judges were particularly critical of claims that Peters should be held accountable for spreading election conspiracies in 2020.

"The court cannot punish her for her First Amendment rights," Appeals Judge Craig Welling said.

Peters used another person's security badge to allow a former surfer, Conan Hayes, to watch a software update of her county's election management system. Prosecutors said he made copies of the system's hard drive before and after the upgrade, and that partially redacted security passwords later turned up online. Hayes was not charged with any wrongdoing.

If they want to imprison her in a federal prison for "spreading conspiracies", they would have to imprison a large portion
of Americans who have done the same online. Freedom of Speech is Freedom of Speech no matter the message.
Do I like hearing all these theories? NO. But, I have the Holy Spirit to give me discernment, and tho it requires a lot of
diligence to wade through stuff, it is worth it. Our world, our country, the media and bloggers are full of "conspiracies".

I'm a rules follower; so regardless of the reason, and there were compelling reasons, if Tina Peters did indeed breech/steal voting data and give to a third party it seems she did break the law. If she did not do this, then of course, she should be freed. It seems the guilty election cheaters go free and the people trying to shine a light on the situation go to jail.
