DOGE Posts Shocking Data on Unemployment Insurance Claims: $254M for Those Under Age of Five

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) posted shocking finds from a survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020, which found individuals far too young (under the age of five) and far too old (over the age of 115) claiming millions in benefits.

DOGE based this on an initial survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020. It revealed that 28,000 individuals between the ages of 1 and 5 collected $254 million in benefits. Further, 24,500 individuals over the age of 115 claimed $59 million in benefits.

It does not end there, however, as 9,700 individuals with birth dates 15 years in the future claimed $69 million in benefits.

“In one case, someone with a birthday in 2154 claimed $41k,” DOGE revealed.

Federal employees are approving these claims... I wonder if some of those employees are in on the scam... otherwise I don't understand how they could be so poor at their jobs, and I wonder why there is seemingly no checks in the system to catch obvious errors.

Those claiming benefits are probably on the voter rolls, too. Maybe part of how they were able to obtain benefits :furious:  :apost: :ban:

All of this fraud is probably part of how the MOB will be sold as a good thing . . . "foolproof" "identity-theft-proof" unique identifier for each person.

I thought unemployment was run by the STATES.
That's what the IRS told me when I discovered my identity had been used fraudulently to claim unemployment in California some years ago.

I thought DOGE is supposed to be going after Federal fraud.

🤔

My unemployment checks came from the STATE of Missouri

So, what is DOGE really up to?

Now, now, calm down there, you rascal you. The Feds are involved in unemployment too...

How is the Unemployment Insurance Program Financed?

Unemployment insurance (UI) is a program jointly administered by the federal government and each state that provides relief to eligible unemployed workers by replacing a portion of their wages for a limited time. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) oversees UI while states retain significant latitude to administer their own programs.

As a result of this partnership, financing UI involves a complex set of federal and state payroll taxes, tax credits, and federal trust funds.
