Disney World Sees Noticeably Low June Attendance: ‘Slowest Junes on Record in the Past Decade’

According to Disney Dining, the current June numbers reveal a stark contrast with previous summers, which could be a possible harbinger for trouble in the coming months.

Social media feedback painted a picture of low energy across the parks, starkly contrasting the vibrant atmosphere typically associated with Disney World during this season. Some users even remarked on the eeriness of encountering low crowds, urging discussions about what might be causing this downturn.

The economic landscape is proving to be a significant hurdle for Disney World. Rising costs associated with vacations to Disney have been a repeated concern for families planning their outings. With admission prices climbing and the cost of lodging and dining ever-increasing, families are feeling the pinch in their budgets more than ever.

“The price of attending a Disney park has skyrocketed in recent years, with the typical price of a four-day stay inside the park rising by $1000 between 2019 and 2024, a new study conducted by The Wall Street Journal showed. The vast majority of that increase — nearly 80 percent — comes from new charges for services that were once free,” it added.

Watch: Disney Star Mark Ruffalo Defends Illegal Immigration, Says ‘White People’ Committing Most Crimes in Anti-Trump Tirade

Disney’s She-Hulk Attorney at Law star Mark Ruffalo jumped to his Instagram to rip “grifter” Trump and to say that “billionaires” are “stealing you blind,” while falsely claiming that illegal migrants “add to the economy.”

Ruffalo said in a video recorded at a New York “No Kings” rally last Saturday that “immigrants aren’t criminals” and he insisted that they “add to our economy by the billions.” On the other hand, it is “billionaires who are the true villains,” “who are really making our lives unbearable and making us so desperate.” He added, “It’s time to take our country back from extreme wealth that has its hands all over the power of the nation.”

The Avengers star also said “The immigrants aren’t the criminals. Most of the crimes committed in this country are by white people.”

One-day tickets to Disney World in 2025 currently sit at $119 per person, while three-day, three-park tickets run $267. And that's just to get in. Beyond admission, you often need to pay for airfare or gas, a hotel, food and more.

A Mouse Hacking blog analysis pegged a baseline Disney World vacation for a family of four at $7,093 in 2025, up from $6,865 in 2024. That cost includes flights, transportation to and from Disney World, quick-service meals, snacks, two table-service meals, five-day tickets without a park hopper, a five-night stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort and Lightning Lane Multi Passes at two parks.

However, the blog says the cost could drop to $4,978 for budget trips or increase to $10,770 for higher-end vacations.

As wonderful as Disneyland was back in the day when I and then my children were young, it has become the exact opposite-- it is now a sick caricature of its original image and values. If it were to disappear off the face of the Earth, I would not mourn its loss for one second. What I am already mourning for are all of the good, family things it once represented.
