Democrat on LA City Council bashes city for prioritizing free crack pipes over funding fire dept

A Democrat on the LA City Council is slamming “chronic under-investment” in basic services and fire prevention — even as Mayor Karen Bass has funneled money to providing drug addicts with free crack pipes.

The fury in LA Council member Traci Park’s voice was palpable as she raged against what she called years of poor financial decisions by LA city officials and how it’s come to a head with the catastrophic wildfires in her district, which includes hard-hit Pacific Palisades.

“It’s bananas,” Park told The Post. “The city of LA is in the middle of multiple crises: mental health, addiction, the homeless, infrastructure failures everywhere. We have pipes underground that are 100 years old and are just poised to cause an environmental catastrophe. Our sidewalks are cracked and falling apart all over.”

This article in the OP is what I said, "a carbon example that repeats itself when we see what the Democrat "leaders" have prioritized for the people they're supposed to represent."
It's not isolated or incidents of the misuse of tax payer funds for outrageous pet projects in the Democrat run cities and states. They don't prioritize critical needs to spend the money on but invest in things that only benefit certain agendas that for the most part hurt the people in general because the critical matters don't get addressed and fixed.

During the lockdown of 2020 I remember that in San Francisco to keep homeless people from freely roaming the streets the City leadership allowed funds from the PPT issued to states out of tax payer funds to temporarily "house" homeless people in hotels. That's fine and very well use for the tax payer funds to give temporary shelter for homeless people.
But, yeah,
But then notice how the same tax payer funds were also used .....

And for California Governor Newsome to literally throw much needed funds that help improve California's important needs into the ocean with water people need to save a fish from extinction is wasteful and hurts the people who then are told there's a water shortage so conserve and the matters in need to keep water available is put on a shelf to only make water availability go extinct instead.

Yet the majority of the people of California keep voting the same people --or their ilk-- into office. I don't get it.
It's not so much because of who people are voting for.
Not here in California.
There's been massive voter fraud in California at every level of government elections, State, Federal, County and City and down to the propositions voted on, there's fraud involved.
Anywhere from the processing of ballots, to allowing non citizens to vote, not requiring I.D to vote, voting registers are not properly updated and results in using old registration data allowing fraudulent voting of dead people or multiple voting by the same person in different districts using different addresses for the same voter, election workers dishonesty in scanning the same ballot multiple times to give extra votes for a candidate, and the list goes on in how California has gotten away with keeping Democrats in office for decades now.
There was some difference in this past Federal election that appeared to have a new "red wave" but even with that, the needed electoral votes still favored Democrats instead of Republican.
It's really not the California voters that are the problem, but it's who has been in charge of the entire voting process at every level that has the outcome of who is elected.

I suspect that a lot of the demonrats who get elected in that state accomplish it through fraud. I don't think California is nearly as liberal as it is painted. They have their blue cities just like the rest of the country, but they've got a lot of conservatives living there.

By controlling the election apparatus --more specifically the vote counting process-- those in power are able to remain in power, while giving the people the idea that the voters have a say in who leads them. It's a fiction. It is what is done in communist countries. And sadly I think it has been operative in a number of Democrat states for quite some time. For example, a voting machine changed Andrea's vote from the Republican to the Democrat candidate for president in 2012. She only noticed it by accident and when she voiced her shock a number of other people in the room checked their own ballots and saw the same thing had happened to them. The excuse given by the election workers was "Oh we've been having problems with these machines all day. Just give us your wrong ballot and we will give you a new one.” Andrea and I have wondered which ballots actually got counted.
