Cracker Barrel Barrel's Disastrous Moves and Attempted Recovery.

And the Ho-Jos are all gone

We used to stop at Ho Jos every summer while on vacation for their orange sherbet. So good on a hot day.

I also remember one trip to New England when a golf tourney was in town and we couldn't find a hotel room anywhere, so we hung out in the Ho Jo parking lot and sat in their restaurant for the night. (following year we bought a travel camper)

Even Waffle House isn't what it used to be

The interesting thing I find about Waffle House is they're always busy and as soon as I sit down I start to feel like they want to rush me out of there so they can seat the next party. It's an interesting place. I go there every once in a while just for the Waffle House experience. We don't have one near where I live but whenever I visit in the southern states there are plenty of them.

Cracker Barrel Admits They ‘Could’ve Done a Better Job’ on Logo Rebrand

Stock in the Tennessee-based restaurant chain plummeted since the new logo, omitting the classic image of Uncle Hershel leaning on a barrel, was released last week, with disgruntled fans bemoaning the changes on social media:

First time I have heard of him!

Right-wing activist leads charge against US equality push

Ordinary Americans have “had enough” of inclusivity and diversity policies at US companies, according to Robby Starbuck, who has led a one-man campaign against the controversial initiatives.

In just three months he has convinced half a dozen US firms to roll back their so-called “DEI” policies, practices aimed at righting historical discrimination but that the right has long criticized as unfairly targeting white people and men, including motor giant Ford.

In an undated memo published by Starbuck this week and confirmed by Ford, the auto maker said it would not impose quotas for minority dealerships or suppliers.

“Sanity is coming for corporate America,” Starbuck wrote on X.

His campaign of video “exposes” and letter writing has seen Harley Davidson motorcycles, John Deere tractors and whiskey maker Jack Daniel’s abandon their own policies, some of which advocated for LGBTQ workers and racial minorities.

Exclusive — ‘The War On Children’ Filmmaker Robby Starbuck: It Paints a Hard to Ignore Picture About How Evil the War to Sexualize Our Children Really Is

After being released online earlier this week, The War on Children has so far been viewed more than 50 million times.

Robby Starbuck spoke Wednesday to Mike Slater, host of Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM Patriot 125. Starbuck explained why he and his wife, Landon, felt compelled to make the documentary.

“There was nothing that gave people the whole picture of the war on children from all fronts — whether it be the nonprofits that are really acting as fronts for far-left activist groups, or the government itself, the indoctrination centers we call public schools in many cases, big pharmaceutical companies — you go down the line, entertainment,” he said.

This is the video I watched. After watching I will never eat there again.

After right-wing backlash, Cracker Barrel says it will get rid of its new logo

After days of intense backlash, most recently from President Donald Trump, Cracker Barrel is scrapping its new minimalist logo.

“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain,” the company said in a statement.

“At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon.”

Now, if they'd just bring the quality of their food back up they might enjoy a healthy future.

While Cracker Barrel's stock price isn't at an all time high, it has pretty much fully recovered from the logo change fiasco. We've seen headlines saying the company has lost 100 million. They haven't lost anything. It only took 1 1/2 trading days for the company to recover.

Long term, it remains to be seen how many of their regular customers will change their dining habits as a result of the wokism discovered in the company. Clearly, their logo isn't the only problem facing the company.

The Band-Aid has been ripped off and exposed their true nature. If they had just let the logo alone most would never have learned of their gay pride and DEI initiatives and things would have remained the same. Now the genie is out of the bottle and it can't be put back in.

The (y) (y) truth always has a way of getting exposed. People like to cover up secrets, and then they are found out.

In a general sense its just nice to see what it looks like when you take America's temperature. I just watched a semi-woke movie: The National Association of Magical Negros. And it did not do well generally in America. Most black commentaries/reviews on youtube saw right through the movie. Although i kind of liked the movie...lol...it was another way to see the true face of America. And that helps to encourage realism within the country. Amen.

. . . . .

PS -- Some might have responded to this earlier in the thread. So many things going on...lol. And developing and changing. :)
