Courtesy Of The US And Israel, A Collection Of Butchers, Jihadists, And Modern-Day Nazis, Are Now Facing Judgment

Almost Heaven

Well-known
Day by day, Iran’s regime is being decimated. A collection of butchers, jihadists, and modern-day Nazis, who have spent 47 years murdering and maiming, are now facing judgment courtesy of the US and Israeli militaries.

The latest regime tyrant to fall is Iran’s now former intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib, one of the regime’s most important officials. He was killed on Wednesday in Tehran in an Israeli air strike. Khatib helped lead the regime’s brutal repression of the Iranian people, and had a major hand in the January slaughter of at least 32,000 Iranians. He was also an Islamic cleric who was close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei—and, like Khamenei, he is now no more.

The takeout of Khatib follows Tuesday’s double elimination of two other high-ranking regime kingpins. Israeli airstrikes eliminated Ali Larijani, who Israel says was the de facto leader of Iran in the wake of Khamenei’s death. Also killed was the head of Iran’s Basij paramilitary force, Gholamreza Soleimani, along with several other top Basij officials.

This is very significant. The Basij are what I call the “skull crackers.” This is the goon squad that the regime unleashes on the streets to attack and intimidate the Iranian people. Think of the Nazi Brownshirts, only more numerous and more powerful. Likewise, their masters in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps can be compared to Hitler’s SS, but again, only more powerful and influential. The more the Basij and IRGC are weakened, the better chance the Iranian people will take to the streets and finally seize their freedom.

The United States and Israel are creating the conditions on the ground for a new Iran, God willing.

The regime’s leadership is being taken out one by one. In just 19 days since Operation Epic Fury began, Iran’s Air Force, Navy, and missile defenses have all been destroyed. Its ballistic missile and drone launches have also plummeted.

The US and Israel, working side by side, are completely obliterating Iran’s entire military and terror infrastructure in stunning fashion. President Trump posted on Wednesday that “the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism” is being put “out of business.”

Finally, after nearly half a century of mayhem, we have a commander in chief who is holding the Ayatollahs accountable.

“Iran is just a military operation to me. Iran is something that was essentially, largely over in two or three days,” the President stated. “The Navy was wiped out almost immediately. The Air Force came next. The anti-aircraft came next. We’re flying over Iran, and we could take out their electric capacity in one hour. There’s nothing they can do right now because everything is knocked out. They have again, no radar, no anti-aircraft. They have nothing.”

“And it was a decision I made. We discussed it… The only thing we didn’t take down was their oil because if we knock out—I call them the pipes, very complex—but if you do that, it’ll take them forever to rebuild,” he continued. “We’re going to try to get people that are going to run it well, and it’s going to be a prosperous, wonderful place. It used to be. The people are great. The people are smart and energetic.”

“It used to be very successful,” the President emphasized. “Now it’s a country run by Führers. It’s a country where they tell protestors, ‘Don’t go outside because if you do, we’re going to kill you.'”

Now it is desperation time for Iran’s regime. That is why they’re trying to shut down the Strait of Hormuz. They think that if they drive up oil and gas prices, President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu will back down and end the operation. Yet, once again, the mullahs have overplayed their hand. POTUS and the Prime Minister are intent on finishing the job.

Europe, on the other hand, is a different story.

At the same press briefing, a reporter remarked, “The Irish President has said that your war against Iran is illegal. It’s an attack on international law.”

President Trump responded strongly, “Look, he’s lucky I exist.”

“If you’re going to allow countries that are sick and demented—and they are demented—to have nuclear weapons… everybody in the whole world should be very thankful,” he stressed. “And I’m disappointed in NATO, very disappointed. I’m disappointed in a couple of other countries too, but they should be very thankful.”

“If a country like Iran were allowed to have the power of a nuclear weapon, if we didn’t stop them… I stopped them twice,” President Trump underscored. “I love Europe. I spent a lot of time in Europe. It’s a different place. Bad, bad things have happened to you, very bad things. And you better do something about immigration, and you better do something about energy, or you won’t have a Europe.”

He’s right. It is becoming very obvious, if it wasn’t already before, that Israel is America’s most dependable ally in the world. And with Great Britain in shambles under its current left-wing government, it’s really not even close anymore.

The President and the Prime Minister are putting the conditions in place on the ground for the Iranian people to come out in the streets. We hope it’s soon. My fervent prayer is that this regime is gone for good. It would feel incomplete if this regime were not cast into the ash heap of history.

The world’s fastest-growing church is in Iran, underground largely, but they’re there. The gospel of Jesus is growing by leaps and bounds in Iran. Perhaps a new Iran could be a launching pad for the gospel to spread throughout the Middle East. That’s my prayer. A great revival in Persia, modern-day Iran. Please join me in praying for that.

I wonder if God has different forms of torment for different people depending on their earthly behavior?

From reading the Bible I see hints of that, but just hints so I don't know.

Are there different levels of punishment in hell?

The idea that there are different levels of punishment in hell is graphically portrayed in The Divine Comedy, written by Dante Alighieri between 1308 and 1321. In that poem, the Roman poet Virgil guides Dante through the nine circles of hell. The circles are concentric, representing a gradual increase in wickedness, and culminating at the center of the earth, where Satan is held in bondage. Each circle’s sinners are punished in a fashion befitting their crimes. Each sinner is afflicted for all of eternity by the chief sin he committed. According to Dante, the circles range from the first circle, where dwell the unbaptized and virtuous pagans, to the very center of hell reserved for those who have committed the ultimate sin—treachery against God.

Although the Bible does not specifically say there are different levels of punishment in hell, it does seem to indicate that the judgment will indeed be experienced differently for different people. In Revelation 20:11–15, the people are judged “according to what they had done as recorded in the books” (Revelation 20:12). All the people at this judgment, though, are thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:13–15). So, perhaps, the purpose of the judgment is to determine how severe the punishment in hell will be.

A clearer passage is Luke 10, where Jesus speaks of comparative punishment. First, Jesus says this about a village that rejects the gospel: “I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town” (verse 12). Then He speaks to Bethsaida and Chorazin: “It will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you” (verse 14). Whatever punishment the former residents of Sodom, Tyre, and Sidon were experiencing in hell, the Galilean towns that refused to hear Christ would experience something worse. The level of punishment in hell seems to be tied to the amount of light a person rejects.

Another indication that hell has different levels of punishment is found in Jesus’ words in Luke 12: “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked” (verses 47–48).

Whatever degrees of punishment hell contains, it is clear that hell is a place to be avoided.

Unfortunately, the Bible states that most people will wind up in hell: “Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13–14). The question one must ask is “which road am I on?” The “many” on the broad road have one thing in common—they have all rejected Christ as the one and only way to heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). When He said He is the only way, that is precisely what He meant. Everyone following another “way” besides Jesus Christ is on the broad road to destruction, and the suffering is hideous, dreadful, eternal, and unavoidable.

I have this really old memory of reading something to the effect that others would look at Lucifer with pity (in hell, because he'd have it worse than the rest). I can't find that now nor have I read it in recent years so it must have been a really bad translation that I got it from.

Hmm, not sure.
I wouldn't suspect there be much compassion in Hell.
Maybe only the damned feel sorry for themselves.
And in Heaven there is only gladness, of course.

I wonder if you're thinking of Isaiah 14, here's a section:

.....“How you are fallen from heaven,
O shining star, son of the morning!
You have been thrown down to the earth,
you who destroyed the nations of the world.
13 For you said to yourself,
‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.
I will preside on the mountain of the gods
far away in the north.
14 I will climb to the highest heavens
and be like the Most High.’
15 Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead,
down to its lowest depths.

16 Everyone there will stare at you and ask,
‘Can this be the one who shook the earth
and made the kingdoms of the world tremble?
17 Is this the one who destroyed the world
and made it into a wasteland?
Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities
and had no mercy on his prisoners?’

18 “The kings of the nations lie in stately glory,
each in his own tomb,
19 but you will be thrown out of your grave
like a worthless branch.
Like a corpse trampled underfoot,
you will be dumped into a mass grave
with those killed in battle.
You will descend to the pit.
20 You will not be given a proper burial,
for you have destroyed your nation
and slaughtered your people.
The descendants of such an evil person
will never again receive honor.
21 Kill this man’s children!
Let them die because of their father’s sins!
They must not rise and conquer the earth,
filling the world with their cities.”....

There seems to be several of layers here. Babylon's king, near the time of Isaiah is fallen, and also points to a future Babylonian influence (Mother of Harlots in Revelation..... I've often wondered if that points to cities of the world influenced towards evil by satan in the same way Babylon was, notice vs 21).

Notice how Babylon's destruction by God sending an earthquake causes the destruction of the cities of other nations like dominoes:

The great city of Babylon split into three sections, and the cities of many nations fell into heaps of rubble. So God remembered all of Babylon’s sins, and he made her drink the cup that was filled with the wine of his fierce wrath.

Rev. 16:19

It seems that the near event of the Babylon King ruling over the known world of the time and a far event of a coming king (Anti-christ) who will rule over the known world of the future is being referenced, both influenced by the god of this world system, satan. The last wordly, Gentile king seems to be directly possessed by satan. All, those influenced and satan will be cast down by God's power in failure:

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. 3 The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while....

Revelation 20:1-3

I notice that verse 19 of Isaiah 14 calls this leader a worthless branch, indicating that many placed trust in him, an undependable trust, whereas Jesus is called the fruitful branch:

Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot—yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.
2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

Isaiah 11:1-2

Vs 27 of Isaiah 14 is very curious to me, speaking of killing the children of this evil leader so they don't rise up to conquer the earth, build and populate cities. I can't help but to think of satan and that Jesus referred to those in unbelief as satan's children, and satan as their father:

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:44

I also can't help but to think of how satan tempted Jesus, showing Him all the places satan was temporarily permitted to rule over:

Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.”

“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say,

‘You must worship the Lord your God
and serve only him.’”

Matthew 4:8-10

Isaiah 14:14-17? That's what it made me think of, anyway.

Edit: EL beat me to it while I was still looking it up

Yes! Thank you EL! I knew that long ago memory came from somewhere. Now I've read that many times more recently but my mind didn't connect the dots with my old memory...
