Part 1 here: - YouTube
I was deeply enjoying listening to Chuck as he goes over the topic of the End Times. He's going all thru the Scripture to point out how everything works together. As he says, this should be a springboard for us to get into the Word, and be a Berean, see if these things be so.
There is a Transcript button available in the lower part of the description box underneath the video, but that may vary by country.
He starts with Daniels' 70 weeks, and this first session he is covering the first 69 weeks.
He covers the fact that once you start into a study of End Times, it will take you from Revelation to Genesis and back again. The Bible is consistent in it's idioms (at 41:25) and each idiom is explained in another book of the Bible. Going thru Revelation will take you to almost every other book in the Bible to find the code that unlocks the idioms or word pictures used.
Just after 8:00 he begins in on some of the main prophecies about Jesus in the OT.
23:49 he starts in on the 70 weeks
25:00 or so he begins on the Olivet discourse and he points out how different the Luke 21 is- it is NOT the Olivet discourse, although it includes some of the same stuff.
Later he gets into how Sir Robert Anderson figured out the math, and how the Pharisees should have known the very day of their visitation on Palm Sunday.
There are 4 decrees and he explains how to see the differences.
40:34 he starts in on the church, by 42:06 he is talking about the 7 letters to the 7 churches in Rev and the outline of history for the church age.
Part 2 (hasn't been uploaded yet) deals with the Rapture.
Looking at the outline of the End Times in Scripture brings peace to the heart because it helps us remember that the stuff that seems crazy, the stuff that seems terrible, all has a place, it has meaning that God explains in His Word.
God's Word focuses us on HIM, His plan, HIS outline of history and somehow the noise and confusion of the crazy news stuff fades away as the peace of God that passes all understanding guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
