Canada -- this is extremely disturbing!

This actually shocked me. And I am not easily shocked. It is extremely disturbing as a harbinger of what's to come. And not just in Canada. @Margery, does this story sound likely to you? It does to me, but maybe I'm jaded.

Hi Adrian, yes it's a thing, I didn't think it had gone beyond the truckers so when I saw this post of yours I looked it up.

I listened to him, and I agree. I know NOTHING about bitcoin that he talks about, but --I do know well enough to keep a low profile and "look normal".

It's not safe to stand out politically religiously or any other way. Don't look too conservative, too well dressed or too badly dressed. Don't make yourself a target in other words. I don't talk to pollsters anymore and I never share who I hope wins elections outside my trusted inner circle.

I have friends that I trust, and I'm open with them, but I'm pretty closed off and neutral in a "cheerful granny on a pension with a cane look" to everyone else I meet. I try not to look disabled even with that cane. I keep that persona active when I leave the house. Things I remember my Russian mother in law telling me. Not to be too open and trusting.

I'm exceptionally twitchy about the banks- past history plus Trudeau and the truckers and any vestige of trust I had is pretty much gone.

Plus they've been on about "money laundering" for years but it hasn't made a dent in crime, so I suspect that is just useful cover to establish the unquestioned ability of the govt to reach into anyone's bank accounts, which was going on before Trudeau and the truckers.

My Internal "twitch o meter" has been going off a LOT lately. It's Carney. That guy you listened to is right on every thing he mentioned. It's Carney and it's NOT good. Things are changing fast and I don't think a lot of people are noticing yet.

Globe and Mail has an article on it, behind a pay wall.

But I was able to access an article by Canadian debt relief, Understanding Debanking: The Rising Trend of Account Closures and How to Protect Yourself in Canada - Canadian Debt Relief

They have some tips below- and I'll bold some bits I think are super important.

"How to Protect Yourself Against Account Closures in Canada

Banks in Canada have increasingly adopted stringent measures aimed at mitigating risk, with the resultant practice of debanking affecting numerous individuals across the country.

To protect oneself against potential account closures, individuals should prioritize maintaining a diverse banking portfolio by establishing relationships with multiple financial institutions.

This strategy not only reduces dependency on a single bank but also enhances overall financial flexibility.

Additionally, it is crucial for account holders to stay vigilant by regularly monitoring their account activity and promptly addressing any discrepancies or suspicious transactions with their bank—this proactive engagement can signal to financial institutions that the customer is responsible and engaged.

If faced with the unfortunate circumstance of debanking, it is advisable to document all communications with the bank and request confirmation in writing regarding the closure rationale, even though banks are generally not obligated to provide detailed explanations.

Establishing a strong financial management practice,
including clear documentation of income sources and expenses, can also bolster one’s profile as a low-risk customer in the eyes of the bank."

There was a good talk with Mondo Gonzales and Billy Crone this afternoon - YouTube

going into detail about King Charles and the New World Order types, how it's mapped out, and I was sitting there nodding along, thinking about the throne speech on Tuesday and Mark Carney, how he's folding us into the EU militarily and thinking how it's lining up with what I'm seeing.

By the way should you want details on that little effort by Carney here it is: - YouTube

Yesterday's conspiracy theory is today's news.

It's funny because I thought, "should I share these?" and said NAHHH, too out there. Not for me where I sit here in Canada, but it might sound strange to American ears.

But it lines up with this guy.

So either me, you and this guy are doing WAY too much Billy Crone lately, or the tinfoil hat is maladjusted or we are right.

Debanking and deinsuring has been a thing in the US for some time. There were some threads here or some other forum when it started hitting the news.

First they went after the drug dealers
Then they went after the tax cheats
Then they went after those with a history of bouncing checks/overdrafts
Then they went after those with low credit scores
Then they went after those receiving welfare benefits
Then they went after certain non-profits and PACs
Etc., etc., etc.

Bonhoeffer comes to mind :cry:

I woke up this morning with the hymn My Hope is Built on Nothing Less playing in my spirit. However long it takes till the Rapture (and I think it won't be long but that is up to God) He will sustain us in changing times with fickle leaders (and institutions like the banks) that were once built on solid Judeo Christian principles -- now failing us.

The music here: - YouTube

and the lyrics here:

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

I love this hymn! I find myself singing it and playing it on my keyboard a lot. The lyrics I learned were slightly different in one line of the first verse:

"My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness"

I had never heard your wording if that second line before; but I like it. Both work! Thank you for sharing your washing thought this morning, Marge. It is a message we all need in this day.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 comes to mind and these were my dad's favorite verses. He needed to trust then and we need to trust so much more in these days.
funny you mention that!

So last night I was talking with my friend Tina (praying over stuff) and we were quoting that VERY verse! Then I came on here before bed last night, and it was the verse that @3Nails4Given had shared in his wonderful verses thread.

Now you mention it again, the third time- and it's one worth repeating and paying attention to in troublesome times. Thank you!!!!

Love to all
M
