Can someone help me with Revelation 3:11?

"I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown."

Does this refer to someone losing their personal victory because they stop following Jesus?
I may be wrong but when i read that, i take it both as encouragment and admonsihment to continue to live righteously so that when Jesus returns, we don't lose any crowns at the bema seat judgement ?

What @Spartan Sprinter said is how I always see it.

We are assured salvation. OSAS is true. No change there.

Rewards on the other hand get handed out at the Bema seat and are the crowns that we get to throw at Jesus feet.

I agree that this passage definitely refers to rewards, and not salvation.
The part that puzzles me is this: "so no one will take your crown."
That you are puzzled by this subordinate clause comes as no surprise. You are not alone. Many people have struggled with it. The problem comes because this clause sounds as though someone can take your crown. But, of course, no other human being can do that because the crowns are given by God. They're not transferable or liable to theft.

Therefore, the only thing that makes sense is that it is a warning that a crown intended for you in Heaven may be removed if you cease striving to be faithful. The Greek word translated no-one can also mean nothing. So, Jesus is saying "Hold on to what you have. Don't let anyone or anything take your crown of victory away." The idea is not of someone taking the crown for themselves (as a simple reading of the text might suggest) but rather just simply removing it from you so you will not have it.

Does that help?
