Warren Buffet has been reported as pulling a lot of cash out in advance of what he thinks will be a huge correction, and I was looking up who did that sort of thing in 2008 and he came up as one of the big ones.

Since losing almost 50% of stock value on black Monday in 1987, I am never putting a large portion into the markets. I'd rather be safe, slow, and steady. I agree with the forecasts, another crash has been predicted for years now.

Good planning! I had just started investing and had no idea what was happening until it was too late. I was working in manufacturing and didn't hear the news until someone mentioned at lunch the market had crashed.

That was a huge crash, perhaps the biggest percentage-wise in post depression times, but the market recovered very quickly. I forget now what led to the crash.
