Britain refuses to allow US to use its military bases for attacks on Iran

Well-known
The British government has not given permission for the United States to use UK military bases to support potential US attacks on Iran, according to public broadcaster BBC.

The US has in the past used RAF Fairford, in Gloucestershire, and the British overseas territory of Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean, to carry out attacks in the Middle East region.

President Donald Trump's recent criticism of Sir Keir Starmer's deal to hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius and lease a joint UK-US military base was prompted by the UK's refusal to grant permission to use the bases.

A UK government spokesman said: “As we regularly do, we do not comment on operational matters.”

The US has been pressuring Iran to agree to curb its nuclear program. The country has threatened possible attacks if it does not do so and has moved warships, aircraft and other military assets to the region in preparation for a possible attack.

For the time being I would treat Great Britain as a country that used to be an Allie that can no longer be trusted. They'd have to earn the right to sit at the table again. This is/was a very serious mess up on their part. If I were Trump I'd study the feasibility of moving all of our military assets out of Great Britain unless they're willing to make a commitment not to limit our use of military facilities in any way, and to pay for some of our expenses in maintaining our military there. If they're already paying... then double it.

As far as GB, Germany, and France entering the skirmish, I'd order them to stay out of our way, way out of our way. Stay home and color.

It should come as no surprise that the UK has gotten worse, supporting Islamic evil legislation and providing asylum to a number of extremist Islamists. It is no secret that these individuals look up to the hijackers of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers in 2001.The UK has changed unfortunately .
