BREAKING: Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Strikes Down California’s Ban on Open Carry – Trump Judge Issues Scathing Opinion

A US Appeals Court on Friday in a 2-1 decision struck down a California law banning people from openly carrying firearms.

US Circuit Judge Lawrence VanDyke, a Trump appointee, wrote the majority opinion and blasted the state of California for banning open carry for 95% of its population.

California banned open carry on all counties with populations greater than 200,000 – which is 95% of the state.

Judge VanDyke, a known gun enthusiast, said California’ ban on open carry is unconstitutional.
“For most of American history, open carry has been the default manner of lawful carry for firearms. It remains the norm across the country—more than thirty states generally allow open carry to this day, including states with significant urban populations,” VanDyke wrote.

The 2A is as clear as the nose on a gun grabbing domestic enemies face and way, way back they had much more than single shot technology and higher powered options too; including explosives and cannons. The hoaxes that these idiots push out are ignorant and should be humorous but there's nothing funny about citizens accepting, supporting, and letting our 2A rights be taken away.

I would never open carry for the simple reason that someone, or group, after seeing you carrying that $1000 or more weapon could simply come from behind, over power you, and take your weapon. Unless you have eyes in the back of your head you could never stop this type of attack, gun or not. I do agree you have the constitutional right to do so if you desire.

I have lived where open carry is legal and even though I prefer to concealed carry, I like the idea that where open carry is legal a concealed carrier doesn't have to worry about the weapon "printing" on their clothing and thus opening them to to a charge of failing to properly conceal carry, with the very real risk that they will lose their right to carry a firearm at all.
