Breaking: IDF strikes Hamas targets in Rafah following ceasefire violation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes in the Rafah area on Sunday morning in response to violations of the ceasefire by Hamas, Israeli media reported.

Reports from Gaza indicate the strikes targeted Hamas positions shortly after the terror group fired an anti-tank missile at IDF forces.

Developing Story:

Hamas attacks IDF in Gaza’s south, sparking Israeli retaliation as US-brokered truce wavers

An IDF source told Reuters that Hamas carried out several attacks on IDF soldiers beyond the “Yellow Line”—the boundary to which the military withdrew under the Trump administration’s peace plan.

According to the Channel 12 News broadcaster, the attacks included anti-tank fire toward an IDF engineering vehicle in the Rafah area. In response, the Israeli Air Force reportedly carried out three airstrikes.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, leader of the right-wing Otzma Yehudit Party, called on Netanyahu to “fully resume combat in the Gaza Strip with maximum force” in response to the truce violation.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who heads the Religious Zionism Party, responded with one word, tweeting Sunday afternoon: “War.”

“IDF troops are deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove immediate threats,” the military said.

The anti Trump TDS crowd will no doubt be blasting him today because the ceasefire is not holding up. Its Hamas who broke the ceasefire, but that wont matter.

If Trump said oxygen is good for you, the TDS crowd would hold their breath and suffocate in attempts to prove him wrong.
That’s what I can’t understand. How can one lose all semblance of logic over this?! It has to be spiritual.

Netanyahu to discuss continued strikes in Gaza, US trying to 'save' ceasefire

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold another situation assessment at 18:00 with defense establishment leaders following Hamas' violation of the ceasefire in Rafah. The assessment will address the question of continuing strikes in Gaza after the violation. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Americans are involved in contacts with mediators trying to 'save' the ceasefire after Hamas disavowed the incident and also claimed to have located a deceased hostage whom they will hand over 'if conditions allow.' American envoys Steve Whitcoff and Jared Kushner are expected to arrive in the region tomorrow and Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday.

Hamas does not want peace, so I was really curious as to why they released the hostages. Their stated goal is to annihilate Israel.
take me with a grain of salt, this is purely my own opinion here.

Pressure from Qatar. Much as I don't trust Qatar or their influence on Trump's finances and family finances, Trump put pressure on Qatar to pressure Hamas and that was a sore point that kept coming up.

If Trump hadn't kept pushing for the hostages to be released, there isn't a hope on the planet, that Hamas would have let them go. Pressure from Netanyahu would be water off a ducks back.

Pressure from Trump delivered thru Trump's new besties in the Middle East, Qatar.

Because Qatar holds the purse strings for Hamas (they funnel money from the various terror sponsors like Iran but also the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR plus muslim "charities" towards Hamas).

And Hamas needs Qatar to keep sending money. Which they will continue to do.

Qatar is helping Hamas in the long run. Because the people that they are trying to set in place as the interim govt in Gaza are the same people who watched this mess grow ever since Bush forced Israel to give up Gaza for "peace" and put UNWRA in to keep the peace.

Qatar is Muslim so they have zero problem helping Trump for the short term and serving Iran for the long game. They don't tell the truth to infidels, can sign any treaty as long as it gains them something and then break it when it suits them.

Forcing Hamas to give up the hostages means the world will quickly forget about that along with the fact Israel was the victim, not the attacker. That suits Qatar's long game.
