Excellent point. I agree with Trump being used as both a helpful force while also being one who is one used in the midst of how things in the age of grace take shaping opportunities toward the tribulation. This makes watching him rather complex and often frustrating to know which side of the equation we might be looking at.
Where I would offer consideration as to the overall trajectory of the above is something we might understandably leave out. One of my favorite saying of JD Farag is "But God." How he highlights what men mean in evil, God can mean for good (as in the case of Joseph). Understandably we are not in biblical times as such where God is using our day in writing scripture to demonstrate His character and ways. Instead we seem to be slated for His fulfillment mode of scripture. But in that, to the degree there "might" be a spectacular closure of the age of grace where "But God" is a thing, well, this is where my biggest notion of in what general way might Trump or America fit into the eschatological whole.
And although you have stated well above, brother, that history proves how even the conservative government like Bush will still use good looking government to entrap its own people further, this season we are in likely qualifies for one big phat and huge "But God" that only He can do (not Trump or any man). And that would be reverse the tide of human enslavement by its government. Instead, I believe we are alive at the only time in known history where government can be used to free its people and echo that out also throughout the world. And that would be a potential taking down of globalism. If it were up to man, we would never see that.
But at a time we are all looking for things to look like a tribulation setup (this side of the tribulation), that is how we will look at everything. However, instead what i believe to be the case is that God might use attributes of government to actually help a people. And down globalism as well. Aside from how things normally go, your above observation would whole heartedly apply. And i believe that is a sound reason why so many would see it that way. Especially if we are approaching a tribulation time where that will be the case in spades darker than ever.
What i believe is also in the social ether, should we look for it, is the a high likelihood of a But God moment. And although it is understandable that my take be seen as a bit out there, and how we have come accustomed to the adage of: It is darkest before dawn (where as I am almost suggesting it is brightest before gloom alternatively). we seem to be in some matrix like version, to me, of a sociopolitical trend that transcends our usual path toward greater enslavement. Like an example would be bitcoin/gold. With the Genius Act to us it looks like it will at some point enslave us (as it will likely in the tribulation). And that would be true if "central banking" can use bit coin. But what if Bitcoin and gold (being trading value means outside the central banking system organically) are used to destroy the FED and central banking? Because even though we have the Genius Act in place, the near term focus of overhauling the FED and building a tariff driven alternative economic fiscal tract competing with the central banking system -- Bitcoin and Gold have every organic potential to make the FED irrelevant. But I believe that us being used to seeing the world through how a Bush like movement would use government to enslave, MAGA could be a moment of breaking away from central banking, the IRS, and the alphabet organizations that weaponize government against its own people because of But God. The age of grace ending is the most spectacular show of God demonstrating His kindness the likes the world has never seen so clearly all in one season, said no one ever. But yeah, that is kind of what i am saying. lol

Consider this though if you might. The notions of New Age religious thought see how a,b, and c have enslaved us. And that we need to break free from those enslavements. In that New Agers would expect some mystic dawn of the age of Aquarius. While the believing church would see us doomed and slated for the tribulation while in the age of grace. But what if both views are wrong? But God in the house? Blessings.
