When I was at Walmart yesterday, a Spanish-speaking employee was giving a Somali-speaking employee instructions in a combination of English, example, and hand gestures. Every once in awhile, both would slip into her native tongue and it didn't bother, distract, or slow either from getting stocking done. While I was there, I heard two different Arabic dialects, Somali, Spanish, English, and Hmong/Chinese. I was there less than 15 minutes and the store wasn't particularly crowded. Someone, whose native language is Ojibwe, helped me at another place I went.

Some restaurants and stores owned and operated by people from other countries don't have English signs, tags, or menus, and I've never seen a sign proclaiming "English spoken here"/similar like I saw decades ago in the Miami area. Very common to see three or four people in a translation chain working together so two people can conduct business/have a conversation. "Minnesota nice" is spreading throughout the immigrant and migrant populations, and it's taking The Gospel with it Some immigrants and migrants are spreading The Gospel to unbelieving Americans, too

"They" only need to deceive most of the people most of the time. I think half of our population is completed deceived by those who possess the power in our country. They read and hear the propaganda and believe every bit of it. It's hard for me to understand, but I see it when I visit family in Oregon.

While flipping tv channels early this morning I landed on a National news channel not sure which, anyway they were saying too many people were either watching far left or far right news and were getting the worst possible messages. They said they had a new ranking system for news and it would provide more truth in the middle. Great, as long as it's "their truth" that makes it ok to listen to People should make decisions on everything in life according to right and wrong, according to biblical principals where there are no gray areas. Elected officials always brag they reach across the isle to get things done, like govmint spending, but Light is not suppose to compromise with darkness, compromise always empowers the dark side. That's part of the reason we are so far in debt, and abortion laws get passed then court systems over rule those laws, everything gets corrupted, and the enemy is having a field day with his deception.

His approval has dropped by half since the spring of 2021, and he has “the lowest rating on immigration for any president in past ABC News/Washington Post polls to ask the question since January 2004.”

Republicans will have to decide what to do on a border deal, perhaps sooner rather than later. But Biden is deciding to give Donald Trump an invaluable political gift every day.

There was a "PSA" here last night about making more Americans "news savvy" and "news literate," so we can do a better job of detecting fake news.

There's also an ad from the cable company reference political ads, saying they can tailor content by demographic, location, and viewing habits. Sounds like the cable company is censoring and dictating content (in conjunction with political parties and candidates) to individuals and families, not just platform or market-wide

The border wasn't secure when I was a kid (many decades ago) or anytime after.
I remember as a teen the paraquat-sprayed pot: the government (don't know if U.S. or Minnesota) was asking Mexican farmers to stop using paraquat on the pot they were growing because of the adverse health effects, and there were PSAs here warning people about the paraquat. Turns out it was the U.S. government that was providing it to Mexican authorities . . . .

There were also migrant workers, who had illegally crossed the border, that followed the crops . . .
We used to drive by them picking cherries and apples in Wisconsin when I was a kid.
