Betty's "Thoughts from my heart"

October 27,2024

Blessed Sunday,

Ok

Sometimes in life ok is good enough. The devil is attacking you on several fronts and all that you can say about how you feel is-- ok.

Truth that is enough. We will not always be walking on shouting streets.

Sometimes the path God allows us to walk on is rocky and thorny. Even if we have to crawl, keep going.

Do not give in to giving up. There is victory ahead if we do not quit.

God has a plan and His plan may have us in the midst of the storm. But we can trust God even in the storms.

Maranatha,

Betty

Happy Tuesday,

No one but God knows how the election will turn out. We do our duty and vote and then we pray God's will.

This is the way it should be. Trusting in our Heavenly Father to work out His plans.

Only God knows what tomorrow holds for us as a Nation and for us as individuals. Yet, we can trust God with all things. Whatever happens He will be with us.

Maranatha,

Betty

Happy Thursday,

Daily Prayer for October 31
CHRISTOPH FRIEDRICH BLUMHARDT
“Let those who fear the Lord say: "His love endures forever." When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 118:4–6, NIV

Lord our God, dear Father in heaven, we thank you. How often you rescue us from all fear and distress! How often you hear and answer us! Grant that our hearts may always be eager and joyful because you answer us. There is nothing else for us in this world; you are our one hope, our only hope. You alone can help our times, help the nations, help each person. Nothing else matters to us. Lord our God, for the rest of our life on earth you alone are our help, our comfort, and our strength. Amen”

When we realize our help indeed comes from the Lord, then we can relax in the knowledge that He will be with us through all circumstances. It is easy to fret when the world seems to be crashing in on us. Sometimes we even forget to cry out to God.

When we do cry out to God. He will answer our cry. He will comfort and sustain us. When we take encouragement from God, then we can encourage others. We can remind others that God is on the throne and He is still in control.

Maranatha,
Betty

Happy Thursday,

None of us knows what tomorrow holds. Health issues and accidents can sneak out of nowhere. We try to be strong but moments of weakness and tears can overcome us at times.

This is when we have to lean on God and those who love us. For those of us who are strongly independent, this can be humbling and hard. Yet, we must recognize how blessed we are to have God, family, and great friends.

We all need God and those who care for us. Instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, may God help us to count our blessings.

Maranatha,

Betty

Revelation 22:20

I Am Coming Quickly

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Blessed Sunday,

The Election

. God was merciful to America and we are grateful. Yet, this does not diminish our need for guidance and support from our Heavenly Father. Only God knows the future.

We need not fear the future when we put our complete trust in God. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

When we trust God completely then we do not need to fret and worry. Our Heavenly Father will fill us with peace. Be content in our circumstances and God will bless us.

May God bless us and our families.

Maranatha,

Betty

Happy Friday,

Promise #319:

"I will comfort you with My everlasting encouragement."

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 (WEB): " 16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word."

The NIV Bible says 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 this way... "16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word."

God is our eternal encourager. He never stops pouring out His love on us and encouraging us. I love the dictionary.com definition of encouragement:...to inspire with courage, spirit, or confidence.”

We must not go by our feelings. We must trust God, no matter how we are feeling. Feelings come and go. God is forever faithful.

Maranatha,

Betty

Happy Friday,

Be Patient

Daily Prayer for November 22
CHRISTOPH FRIEDRICH BLUMHARDT
“Be patient, then, my brothers, until the Lord comes. See how patient a farmer is as he waits for his land to produce precious crops. He waits patiently for the autumn and spring rains. James 5:7, TEV

Lord Jesus, hear our prayer and reveal your hand in our days. May those things be done that bring your future nearer and let the world see you as the Savior who can lead us to our Father. Bless your Word within us. May our hearts be strengthened, and may we always live in your presence. We draw our life from your Word, from your promise, and we set our hope on you, our Lord and Savior. Show your might, Lord Jesus, and carry out the will of God over all the world, so that we may rejoice when we see God's glory appear and his will being done on earth as in heaven. Amen”

We are to develop patience on our own. God is not going to drop patience into us. We need to be patient in life’s struggles. We need to be patient with our prayers. God does not always answer our prayers immediately.

We are looking forward to the rapture, which is great. Yet, we can become impatient because the rapture did not happen when we thought it should have. We need to relax and remember that God is in control.

When we trust God to work in His time, then we will fret and worry less. The rapture will happen, just as God said it would. It will happen in God’s time. Until then let us serve God in love and love one another.

Galatians 6:9
New King James Version

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Maranatha,
Betty

When I begin to feel weary over the delay for the Rapture what comes to mind is
2 Peter 3:9

God is Not being slow about His Promise, but is being Patient because He wants no one to perish, but to come to repentance and be saved.

God patiently waited for many of us and we came to faith in Jesus and by God's Grace we have been saved.
It's by God's Mercy that He Still waits and that demonstrates that God is Love.

God's timing is perfect.

37 “For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry."
Hebrews 10:37

Got moved. Staying with my sister for now. She fixed me a very nice bedroom with a great bed decorated for Christmas. Husband is in a nursing home, he cannot walk and I am not capable of taking care of him.. At least three days a week he threatens to divorce me. I know God is with us.

Blessed Sunday

The last month I have been in the process of moving. We had been there for 9 years. It was hard moving, especially under the circumstances.

God, family, and friends helped me. I do not know what the future holds, but I know God is with me and will never abandon me.

We must remind ourselves in hard times that our strength comes from our Heavenly Father.

Maranatha,

Betty

Sweet Betty I am praying for you.
God bless you and keep you and continuously strengthen you. May God hold you close and speak to your heart and quiet you with His Love.
You're very precious sister, and dearly loved.
Keep sharing your beautiful thoughts that honor God and are a blessing to me and others here,
Love you precious sister 💖

"The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17

Blessed Sunday,

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.23.5.KJV

Today, Justice is not always a given. Rich people often buy their way out of going to prison. Killers often get away with their crimes. Yet we are promised that one day God, Himself will judge. Then Jesus will rule over this world and He will judge the guilty.

There is a place for mercy. If we humbly seek forgiveness and turn from our sins God will forgive us. We may pay a price in this life for our sins, but when we stand before God, our sins will be covered by the precious blood of Jesus. We will be judged righteous, because of the righteousness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Seek forgiveness of your sins while there is still time. One day the Age of Grace will end.

Maranatha,

Betty

Isaiah 55:6

New King James Version

6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.

Happy Thursday,

Daily Prayer for December 19
CHRISTOPH FRIEDRICH BLUMHARDT
“When the Lord brought us back to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! How we laughed, how we sang for joy! Then the other nations said about us, "The Lord did great things for them." Indeed he did great things for us; how happy we were! Psalm 126:1–3, TEV

Dear Father in heaven, we hope in you and in your promise, which we hold in our hearts as our most precious possession. Protect us when times grow hard. May your Spirit come. May your Spirit constantly reveal your Word and give your promise to the hearts of many so that they may share in the hope, the faith, and the struggle for the great day. On that day we will be allowed to rejoice, exulting with all people because your salvation comes for the whole world. “Amen

We all go through hard times. It is extra hard when the hard times go on for months and months. Even as we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we can still feel shaky and unsure of ourselves.

We must remember to let go and allow God to work His will through us. When we stop fighting against our circumstances and accept God’s will for our lives we will begin to feel the peace of God.

Pray for those who are suffering this season, that God will give them comfort.
Maranatha,
Betty
