Arab states reject Trump plan for Gaza, Egypt foreign minister tells Rubio

Feb 10 (Reuters) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday that Arab states support Palestinians in rejecting U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to displace Palestinians in Gaza and take control of the enclave.

Egypt's foreign ministry said Abdelatty, in a meeting in Washington, stressed the importance of expediting Gaza's reconstruction while Palestinians remained there.

Abdelatty, who arrived in Washington on Sunday, said he was looking forward to working with the new U.S. administration to achieve "comprehensive and just peace and stability" in the region, according to a foreign ministry statement.

He also met with U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff in a separate meeting, where he echoed similar statements, the foreign ministry said.

Like I said on another thread
Arabs, in particular Islamic Arabs are very Prideful.
It's not going to be easy for Trump to persuade them to agree with his plan to receive the Palestinians into their lands.

It'll boil down to money. Will Egypt and Jordan be okay with not getting any US dollars?

Irregardless, should the USA be giving those two countries gifts of money in the first place?

They are infested, lost, deceived, brainwashed, dominated, controlled, and filled with hate/rage. The deck is truly stacked against them on matters of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the word of God, the Gospel, Israel, Christianity, the USA, love of mankind, and sorrow for their sins. Deep and enraged resistance makes these times so sober and concerning.

I think the arab states desires should be completely ignored. Permanent displacement of the gazans might just send a constructive message to the arab world: "you're not all that. get over yourselves." No matter how it happens, the only permanent (and humange) solution to gaza is to ship the population off to somewhere else. It's unfortunate that gazans are born and raised to hate Israel. That is their a reason for being... to hate Israel and to kill Israelis at any opportunity.

If Egypt backs out of the peace agreement they have with Israel... so what? If they attack Israel or even prepare to attack Israel, they'll likely regret that action within 24 hours. Peace with Saudi Arabia? Inconsequential in my opinion. Saudi Arabia isn't going to attack Israel. It would probably take Israel less than a few hours to completely destroy Saudi Arabia's Air Force, and it would be over.

The best thing that can happen is Israel, maybe with the help of the USA destroys Iran's ability to wage war and annihilates Iran's proxies. Then there will be more peace in the region then there has been in a long time.
