Im so jelly , hope you have an awesome time there and hear some blessed messages.

I'll have to keep an eye out for Cream of Crab soup. Any place you recommend that sells it?
It's likely still hugely popular and widely available all over Baltimore. I loved Carson's but they closed. I still love Jimmy's in Dundalk.....Bo Brooks (everywhere).....and the Timbuktu near the BWI airport. Sweet crab is fresh in season from April to September......but "frozen" out there is still pretty sweet for hillbillies of the midwest like me!

I see it's about an hour and a half to Baltimore in the opposite direction. We probably won't head there on that trip.

We just registered to attend this awesome conference. Any suggestions for things to do and see in the area?
It’ll be nice to see another fellow forum member. Definitely check out the Gettysburg Museum (it’s worth it and you can spend the entire there) and the field where the battle took place. There are memorials to look at and read. The downtown area is small but has some cute little shops and places to eat. I’ve never eaten there so I can’t make personal recommendations. We’ve just visited before.

That's about right. We used to travel up to Gettysburg regularly but got tired of the long drive. So much to see there! Be sure to allow some time after the conference to tour the battlefields, Jenny Wade's house, shops, museums, and there is a fairly new Visitor Center I have not visited yet.

The visitor’s center is really nice. We visited Gettysburg a few years ago since my mom lives an hour and a half away.

We won’t be heading by Baltimore on our trip. Too out of the way.

The battlefield walk (led by a historian, etc. employed/volunteering there) is very interesting, and well worth it. Bring a bottle of water and wear comfy shoes and layer, as it can get very hot and sometimes humid, and if prone to heat injury or sensitive to sun, sunblock, umbrella, sun hat, lightweight long sleeves/long pants, as you need/prefer. If it rains, it can get colder than you anticipate because of wide open areas allowing unimpeded wind. Chiggers can be an issue, as well. Take a map of the battlefield with you to help you stay oriented to what was happening where/when and where you are at the various stops and sites on the battlefield. Reading a brief history of the battle beforehand will allow you to ask more/better questions, too :) If up to the distance and walking up and down slopes, it would be possible with a rollator with large wheels, but not one with small, indoor-only wheels. Power wheelchairs/scooters, it would depend, and someone pushing a non-powered wheelchair would have to have significant strength and stamina.
