Plane with 80 people on board crashes on landing at Pearson airport, ends up on its roof

A total of 18 people were injured after a Delta Airlines plane crashed on the runway at Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened sometime after 2 p.m. and involved a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis."

Apparently nobody died, but it's a miracle. 3 people are critically injured. 18 were taken to hospital out of the 80 on board.

Yes the wheels are up facing the sky and the plane is upside down, on it's back.

This is our biggest airport in Canada, it takes more international flights than even Vancouver to the best of my knowledge.

The initial panic inside the cabin, as everyone is hanging upside down in their seats, must have been rough. However, they looked calm as they were coming out of the plane.

It looks like the undercarriage gave way upon the hard landing, causing the plane to tip to its right, causing the right wing to contact the ground and break off, jet then rolled over and skidded a long way.

It's hard to tell because of the angle and whatnot, but it's possible that the rear landing gear may have collapsed. Too me it looked like a really nice landing, but again, it's hard to tell. At first I thought maybe there were pre-existing cracks in the fuselage and the fuselage just failed, but I don't think that's possible after watching the video. It's possible that the landing gear wasn't fully extended but a system error showed that they were down and locked... just a thought.

Pete Buttijig didn't seem to do much of anything but at this point his job performance isn't as important as the new guy taking care of things.
