A Christian’s Perspective on Artificial Intelligence

…this essay will help Christians understand this new technology [AI]: its benefits, its risks, and then some guiding principles to consider. In the end, I will argue that AI is a tool that has real dangers—but also very real possibilities for aiding with the Great Commission.

I believe AI is leading up to building the beast system, and also taking away people's jobs. I don't trust the AI stuff. I saw somewhere online that DOGE spelled backwards is EGOD. We are living in times that seems like Science Fiction movies coming alive. This scripture tells us about deceiving and being deceived. :bible: 2 Timothy 3:13.

same. my parents receive AARP magazine and it is always pushing seniors to accept and assimilate into AI. hate it

Before AI seemed to be suddenly everywhere, I kind of looked forward to some of the things I thought it could be used for. Now I'm creeped out by it, and while I know that I already can't avoid it, I'm doing my best to avoid it as much as I can...

Well the creepiest stuff to me is the 'deepfakes'

That video is already 4 years old and already this high tech. Only the Holy Spirit could be restraining the full force of deception they are currently capable of.

Have you brought up the DeepAI (TM) and consulted it many times? I tried to have a “virtual conversation” with them and asked some questions about astronomy, alternative stargazing and history/alternative history, honestly just as a way to judge it on the basis of virtual attitude. I actually found that session worthwhile, I asked it the question “Why is the Tao that cannot be spoken the true Tao?”, which I fully understand is a totally dorky hippy-trippy in clique one liner, but the machine learning algorithm hit the button the first time, and word associated to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which the internal browser could really ferret for in all the virtual caves. I know bogus prognosticators like those Haight Ashbury Tao/Wu Wei types are only in it for the money already, but actually I’d never thought to word associate the lingo to the Wall Street Journal. The machine was right, economics is that hard to predict, so the Dow that can be spoken is no doubt fleeting, flawed, incomplete, and not entirely the complete picture. Also, I was glad I could ask around about that subject discreetly and anonymously, because to be honest, I think a lot of that crowd is a tiny bit weird, and also I doubt that many of them would have been able to really explicate the Dow Jones.
