2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

What does this mean when it says "the day star arise in your hearts"?

The day star is the sun... so is it saying to spend time with God at sunrise or just before sunrise?

The day star was (is) Venus. You can glimps it just before the break of dawn.
So, when you see the day star, you KNOW the morning is almost there.

It is a firm reminder for us believers, and it fills our hearts with gladness.
The night is almost over, a new day, the Day of the Lord, is on the horizon!

I usually can see Venus at night after sunset not before sunrise... so what's so important about Venus in this scripture?

As the sun’s 2nd planet, Venus is bound by an invisible tether to the sun in our sky. It’s always east before sunrise, or west after sunset (never overhead at midnight). Venus is the brightest planet visible from Earth and shines brilliantly throughout every morning or evening apparition.
