The 'Red Flag of Revenge' is raised
This morning, the 'Red Flag of Revenge' was raised over the Jamkaran Mosque in the Iranian city of Qom. The reason for this is the attack on the grave of the notorious Revolutionary Guard commander Qassam Soleimani in Kerman.
The last time this flag was raised was following Soleimani's assassination in January 2020. It was lowered after the Iranians attacked the American base in Ain al-Asad in Iraq as revenge.
The public raising of this flag signals an act of revenge that must be "seen and heard." This event creates anticipation, and the regime wouldn't raise the flag unless it intended to carry out some sort of attack in the very near future.
The question remains, does Iran intend to take vengeance on Israel, or on ISIS, which has claimed credit for the Kerman bombing?
