“War Starts Right Now”: Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Vows Retaliation After Trump Orders Bombing of Three Nuclear Sites

Within hours of the attack, Tehran reacted sharply.

State media served notice that Iran “reserves all options” to retaliate, possibly including rocket, drone, or missile strikes.

Euro News reported:

“War starts right now”, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Tehran’s main army branch, said overnight on Sunday after the US forces struck three nuclear sites in Iran, according to US President Donald Trump.
The US has between 40,000 and 50,000 troops stationed in the region, who are expected to be put on high alert after the strikes.

The IRGC responded by saying this has further escalated what has been an exchange of missile and drone attacks by Iran and Israel since last Friday, now escalating beyond conflict to a full-blown war in the Middle East.

Al Udeid Air Base is the forward headquarters for US Central Command (CENTCOM), accommodating approximately 10,000 troops, and the Islamic Republic launched the attack, despite the fact that Qatar has often been one of its key allies.

It was unclear how many Qataris had been endangered or if Tehran's weaponry was precise enough to only endanger American forces.

Air defense systems were activated in Ain al-Asad Air Base in Iraq, a US military source told Reuters. A maximum alert status was declared with personnel ordered to take shelter in bunkers, the source added.

Reports of drone attack on US military bases in Iraq
Statement by the Iranian Armed Forces:

'Noble and Resilient Nation of Iran!

Following the blatant military aggression of the criminal regime of the United States of America against the peaceful nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the clear violation of international law, by the order of the Supreme National Security Council and the leadership of the Central Headquarters of the Rasool Al-Azam, the IRGC with the sacred code of ' Ya Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein' has targeted the Al-Udeid base in Qatar with a devastating and powerful missile attack in Operation Besharat Fatah.

This base is the headquarters of the Air Force and the largest strategic asset of the U.S. terrorist army in the West Asian region.

The message of this decisive action of the sons of the nation in the armed forces is clear and unequivocal for the White House and its allies:

The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on God Almighty, relying on the faithful and famous people of Islamic Iran, will not leave its territorial integrity, sovereignty and national security unanswered under any circumstances.

With the aggression of the American enemy, it became clear to everyone that the evil of the Zionists was an extension of the Americans' design. Accordingly, we remind you that in this national defense, the U.S. bases and mobile military targets in the region are not a point of strength, but rather a major weakness and a thorn in the side of this warmongering regime.

On the eve of the month of Muharram, the month of mourning for the leader and commander of martyrs, Hazrat Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein (AS), we once again warn the enemies of Islamic Iran that the era of hit-and-run is over, and the will of the country's powerful people's armed forces.

Any repetition of U.S. aggression will lead to the acceleration of the collapse of the U.S. military pillars in the region, their ignominious escape from West Asia, and the realization of the common aspiration of the Islamic Ummah and the freedom-loving nations of the world in eradicating the cancerous tumor of Zion.'

20:15 - Qatari Foreign Ministry: Missiles intercepted, no injuries as al-Udeid base was evacuated

After the Iranian missile attack on the American al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, the Qatari Foreign Ministry stated that the missiles were intercepted and no one was injured, as the base had been evacuated prior to the attacks.

"The missile attack on Qatar is a violation of sovereignty, we reserve the right to respond," the ministry added.

Considering they have been an Iranian puppet, this is a good break from their former position of "neutrality" that covered a lot of banking and other stuff that Iran needed to do thru their friends in Qatar.

Pray for a certain friend of many of us from the old boards- Hidden. He works there.

Report: Iran threatens any US attempt to respond 'will be met with stronger action'

A security source in Iran told Russian news agency "Sputnik" that "the Iranian attack on the American base in Qatar is only part of Tehran's response, and its completion remains at the discretion of the Iranian leadership." He emphasized that "Iran did not attack Qatar, the target was only the American base. Any attempt by the US to respond to the attack on the base in Qatar will be met with an even stronger response from Iran."

Apparently it was only warning strikes.
A big growl to express their frustration over being humiliated by the US strikes.

Iran was "in coordination with Qatar with this on the US base attack
'in Qatar'. Qatar must have told Iran that the US military base in Qatar was vacated and had no US military personnel there. They knew there would be no casualties. So it was planned to strike an empty base just for theater to make a point 🙄

Qatar put itself in a slippery slope by coordinating with Iran because the US just made a big arms deal with Qatar when Trump went to the ME.

Iran forewarned of Qatar attack to avoid wider war, leave room for US talks - analysis

Iran had to respond to Sunday's US airstrikes, but Tehran does not want an escalated war that endangers its regime.

So, Iran’s strategy to reply to the US attacks included making it clear that it would respond and communicate via Telegram where that response was likely to occur.

In fact, reports from the New York Times which spoke to Iranian officials, indicate that Iran coordinated the attacks on the American airbase with Qatari officials and gave advanced notice in order to minimize casualties.

President Donald Trump visited Al Udeid last month on May 15, where he inked a $1 billion military sales agreement with Doha.

Qatar has walked a tight line between friendly relations with the U.S., through efforts to expand the base, and with Iran. Prior to the attack, Qatar suspended all flights and promised to "take all necessary preventive measures."

Im sure this is directed to me since I have made the multiple updates. I didn't mean to frustrate anyone. I will make a conscious effort to not post so many updates. Im sorry brother.
I figure your updates are good, they keep the gears and cogs turning on the server, and that little monkey going that has to run on the treadmill to keep the electricity going. We don't want those parts to seize up. ⚙️⚙️Monkey Dance

In my opinion, the problem with the extensive media and alt media reporting on the middle east or world in general is that much of what happens or is said is theater to play to certain audiences and/or save face. That is generally completely lost on our media unless they are deliberately stirring the pot. I try to ask myself what interest is served by all the fear, uncertainty and doubt that results.

Trump just thanked the Iranians for giving advance notice of the attack. Things that make you say hmmmm...

I don't know who it was directed at, sister, but like pixelpusher I appreciate the updates. They save me from having to wade through secular or social media to stay on top of what is happening.

Same! It's a real time saver. Even if the news ends up being turned upside down by something new - I often look at these threads to catch up on how things evolved.

I'm often looking at minor details that only appear briefly and get buried. Those minor details give perspective. They are usually only found in the initial reports. Little hints that another country is being impacted- before they have time to spin things.

Explosions were heard over Doha, Qatar's capital on Monday evening.

US reportedly allowed Iran to shoot missiles at empty base in Qatar to enable ceasefire

The Iranian missile attack on the American al-Udeid airbase in Qatar on Monday evening, which many feared would lead to a regional conflagration, was in fact a coordinated move calculated to enable the regime to save face while suing for a ceasefire, according to several media reports.

The only partial confirmation came in a post by U.S. President Donald Trump, after Iran launched 14 missiles at the U.S. base.

“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured. Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same,” Trump wrote.
