‘Civil War Is Now Official’ – Syria Erupts Into Worst Bloodshed Since Assad’s Fall

"Civil War Is Now Official’ – Syria Erupts Into Worst Bloodshed Since Assad’s Fall

Any lingering delusions that Syria could emerge from its Western-imposed, regime-change victimhood and enter an era of peace and stability were obliterated on Thursday, as 48 people were killed in battles between supporters of the deposed Bashar al Assad government and the country’s new radical Islamist regime. As all-out civil war looms, increasingly disturbing sectarian violence has an important minority sect asking for Russian intervention to safeguard their lives.

In the town of Jableh, which lies in Syria’s coastal Latakia province, pro-Assad forces ambushed and killed 16 members of the regime’s security forces. In the ensuing retaliation, 28 pro-Assad militants and four civilians died, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). Latakia hold the highest concentration of Alawites –the minority sect of Islam that’s principally found in Syria, with the Assad family themselves being the most prominent members. Alawites comprise about 10% of the country’s population. Notably, the province is also home to the Russian-operated Khmeimim air base. The ambush targeted regime forces who’d carried an operation in rural Latakia aimed at arresting a former Assad government official.

On Amir Tsarfati's Telegram thread it's shared that thousands of Akawites and Christians have been killed by the new Syrian govmint forces. Russia has allowed hundreds of Alawite families to enter their Air Force Base there for protection.

I saw Amir this morning, this is awful. Islam is true to it's demonic roots.

So the allegedly Christian (Orthodox) Russia/USSR/Gog can only offer sanctuary for muslims . . . hmmmmmmmmmm

Maybe more to it than President Putin just kissing the accursed thing

Yup, the spiritual overtones of this battle reach far beyond the physical.

I saw Mark Hitchcock came out with something I IMMEDIATELY thought of with you and figured you'd enjoy. Forgive the rabbit trail - I wanted to hand you this link since I saw it. It's just 5 minutes - YouTube titled From Tanks to Horses, Marking the End Times.

Russian Cossacks (and others) famed for horses/horsemanship :)

I wonder if Gog/USSR's professional army that we haven't yet seen, is doing something with horses and camels? I would only entrust the following to experienced, professional soldiers:

Maybe resurrecting old mounted battle skills, tactics, and strategies, developing weapons and equipment, training and equipping soldiers, training and equipping horses and camels, etc., etc., etc. This would also necessitate additional grain, hay, etc., which was targeted when Ukraine was invaded and continued to be while the war continued.

Interesting that even with good harvests, USSR/Gog has imported a LOT of grain that is disproportional to general needs.

Just as solders need to be trained, if working with animals, the animals also need to be trained. And then (ideally) the individual soldiers and animals matched and kept together as a team, as a very close bond and exceptional communication develops. Some soldiers are naturally better riders than others, and some animals are easier to ride. Pack mules and donkeys, same. There's a lot of military professionalism among soldiers working with animals, even among those with the lowliest jobs. All must do everything properly to assure animal and soldier effectiveness. Proper maintenance, cleaning, care, feeding, Veterinary care, etc. is even more critical with military animals than with non-working animals, vehicles, etc.

And like humans, even if exposed to the noises, sights, smells, etc. of battle, until actually there, one doesn't actually know if one will panic. The soldier has to both deal with killing and not getting killed, and keeping his or her animal focused, under control, etc.

Working with military mules, etc., no matter what one is doing, is awesome military duty, even if imposed as "punishment"
