A growing number of liberals are becoming gun owners, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Democrats are rediscovering guns due to concerns about personal safety amid increasing crime and a volatile political climate, the Journal reported.

"It's a group of people who five years ago would never have considered buying a gun," said Jennifer Hubbert, an anthropology professor at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, the outlet reported.....
 
A neighbor of mine has a son of whom relationship was quite strained over my neighbor's gun ownership. His tune dramatically changed when someone broke into his home and he was faced with the stark reality that he had no way to protect his family. No defense leaves people sitting ducks to be taken advantage of by bad people in terrible ways. Thankfully all was well.

However, the son realized through this scary experience that his Dad had wisdom in having extra protection around. Stark and scary reality pierced through the fog of la la land political messaging he had been caught up in.

He had a better understanding that unfortunately there are bad people in this world and one needs to exercise caution in light of this. He did a 180 and ended up purchasing a gun.

Just take a look at the two whackos that tried to assassinate Trump. Yesterday Fox News had a reporter interviewing members of Congress in the US Capitol, where they were saying, Trump was a threat to democracy. This rhetoric is being espoused after two attempts to kill Trump! These liberals are becoming unhinged by this vile rhetoric.

Several mainstream media propagandists have been openly comparing Trump to Hitler.

What is worse is when you have a real life Barney Fife working for your agency and in the process of capturing two escapes you discover he is holding one of them in a cover position and he doesn’t even have a round in the chamber!

We had a female officer holding the other escapee in cover with a shotgun and she was shaking so bad the action was rattling the whole time.

When I called out Barney to actually chamber a round, because this was real!, he started shaking like a leaf on a tree. Then he double racked the slide chambering and ejecting a round at the same time! The first round landed in the sand, which he then proceeded to lean down and pick it up and load it covered with sand right back into the shotgun. Our Lieutenant had a fit! When the arrests were over, the lieutenant went to the Captain and told him in no uncertain terms was that officer to be assigned to anything besides a desk. He was also sent for remedial firearms training.

Praise God that didn't have dire consequences and lets hope that BOTH those officers realized how much they need extra training. God must have sent some angels to cover you that time.

This is sooooo true. You can tell who has and who hasn't got it. And that's not saying one group is more valuable than the other in life, but in this context, oh yes. I've never met anyone that has actually seen serious stuff, yap on about it so frequently. If they do, it's short and often with humor at their expense. Anything else seems to be a giant red flag.

Amen sister, I had no doubts that night there were angels helping us. Almost everything that could have gone bad for us didn’t. Two 30ish males, both convicted double murderers, armed, both serving a minimum 50 year sentence with no parole. The officer that first spotted them was blind in one eye.

No round in the chamber in a real situation like that would have gotten an officer fired every place I worked. If the situation was serious enough for the shotgun to be taken from the patrol car, it was serious enough to chamber a round.
