Willing to pay $175,000 for a life-size robot friend that remembers everything about you?

In a world where loneliness is becoming increasingly prevalent, researchers have taken a bold step forward by introducing Melody, a life-sized artificial intelligence robot designed to combat this growing epidemic.

However, Melody is not just another gadget; she represents a significant move toward creating robots that closely resemble humans in both appearance and interaction.

The vision behind Melody

Realbotix, the innovative tech firm responsible for Melody's creation, aims to produce robots that are not only visually indistinguishable from humans but also capable of meaningful interactions.

If there was one that would mop baseboards, scrub woodwork, empty cupboards and wash them....oh and wash windows, I might be interested but not at that price. Can I buy one for 50.00? I thought not.

Wow, and I won't spend a couple hundred for a live one. O.o

Anymore, it can cost a couple hundred or more to adopt from a shelter. Actually a great deal because all shots, spay/neuter, dewormed, MOB (microchip), and any issues taken care of. Special needs/medical disclosed up-front.

Good luck getting just the neuter, let alone the spay, for $200.

I watched videos where they apparently play well with dogs

My dog wouldn't play nice with it. I'd give the new toy about 30 seconds, or maybe a minute if my dog decided to investigate or do a sucker-it-in move before destroying it. A certain Siberian Husky would have destroyed it even faster.

Wonder what my more aggressive/protective cats would have done
