Why does God permit suffering?

For those who don't know, Joni Eareckson Tada, is a painter, a writer, an artist, an evangelist and teacher. She is also a total quadriplegic, unable to care for herself in any way. She broke her neck at the age of 14, diving into water while swimming with friends. She wanted to die, but eventually came to a profound and unshakable faith in Christ, which she shares through books and her podcast Joni and Friends. She has been used to lead so many to our Savior, help countless people who struggle with pain and suffering, and teach the rest of us how to mature in Christ. Her ministry also provides free wheelchairs to children of impoverished families around the world. Her YouTube shorts never fail to teach me. I wanted to share this one on the subject of why does God permit suffering. I pray it helps you.

I have been thinking about how prayers seem to not be answered. Long ago I came to the conclusion that satan is still around because God is using him to bring others to Salvation. Many times I have looked back and seen how prayers don't seem to be answered. Some times it is because of our expectations of how God will answer our prayers.

Look at Joni Eareckson Tada's story! I mean it is like God ignored her prayers. Then later she sees what God has done through her.
