Who Were The Son's of God

Goodboy

Just waiting for the Rapture at this point!
The Son's of God

Below is the scripture I am referring to for reference.
Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Genesis 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

So this topic came up in another thread a while back. At that time I presented reasons why I believe the "Sons of God were fallen Angels". However, I never really understood the other view that the "Sons of God' were Seth's descendants. I am not sure even now if I fully understand that point of view, but from the little I know let me state what I think both sides are saying.

A. This belief is that the son's of God are fallen Angles.
This belief is that fallen Angels impregnated women creating son's and daughters that were evil.

B. This belief is that the son's of God are descendants of Seth.
This belief is that descendants of Seth impregnated women creating son's and daughters that were evil.

So here are my questions about theory B.
1. Why does Genesis 6:2 say sons of God saw daughters of men unless the sons of God are not men? In Genesis 6:1 is just says daughters.
2. Why would the good descendants of Seth cause men to become even more evil?
3. Why is there no where else in the Bible where it refers to men as son's of God except in the New Testament after salvation when we become son's of God?
4. Why does the Bible refer to son's of God as Angels in scripture, if those are Seth's descendants?
5. If Seth's descendants are thought to be good referring to them as son's of God, why did God destroy every one except Noah and his family?

If someone responds and wants to help me change my mind, please answer the 5 questions I presented. I am not good with very long explanations as they are confusing to me. Feel free to think I have a simple mind if you like, but I am like that saying goes "Keep it simple stupid". Not that I am calling anyone stupid, not sure why that phrase is worded that way? I guess the saying of "Keep it short and Simple" is a better phrase.

God Bless! 🙏

Sorry, nothing to add as I 100 percent agree with belief A.

could one use the term "son's of God for all angels as opposed to only fallen angels?
At first I thought the answer was yes to your question. I was just saying that the "sons of God" spoken of in Genesis 6:2 were fallen Angels, as they were not obedient. However in Job Satan came along with the "sons of God", so maybe they were also fallen angels, I don't know. :noidea:

It is not clear to me whether the "sons of God" in Job are fallen or not. :noidea:
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD,
