I realize most won't take the time. That is ok. I just think that there are a lot of themes going on in the American government that are designed to teach us more about our country. Victor would be a good way to get a sense generally of how a world class sociologist tempers modern day reality. Some helpful themes:

1. Even though sometimes it seems like Black rock/Back stone financial entities twist world reality into Hagalian Dialectic...there are person struggles, cities struggle, state struggles and party struggles that underscore the unique ways each group plays into the whole -- highlighting God's sovereign touch in the human experience transcending tendencies to stereotype

2. Great overviews of US with other countries and how we can sense practical approaches desired

3. Even though the left and the right both have factions steeped in globalism and are uniparty and are establishment political players, there are deeper tones of power struggles very well defined by Victor that highlight how individiaul factions inform upon trends that transcend nutshell mentality -- beautiful really...

Well there are others but it is good antibiotic to ingest every now and then to keep the mind from going bonkers. And allow some of our reality sensors to anchor into some common people speak soil, that I find refreshingly real. Hope this blessed the soul. Blessings.

Thanks for posting this @TCC i made time to watch it yesterday.

I’ve learned a lot from VDH over the years. Hillsdale College offers his WW2 series for free and it’s excellent.

Before Covid I listened to his podcast and love his lessons on various ancient Near East events and writings. Since he’s had Covid a couple of times his speech isn’t as crisp as it used to be.
