Vance: Iran rejected our terms for an agreement

US Vice President JD Vance said early Sunday morning that talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan had concluded after 21 hours without an agreement after Iran did not accept Washington’s terms for an agreement.

Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Vance expressed appreciation for his Pakistani hosts while delivering a sober assessment of the outcome.

Vance described the talks as substantive but ultimately unsuccessful in securing a deal.
He added, "So we go back to the United States having not come to an agreement.

Vance emphasized that the United States had clearly communicated its positions during the negotiations.
"We've made very clear what our red lines are, what things we're willing to accommodate them on, and what things we're not willing to accommodate them on. And we've made that as clear as we possibly could, and they have chosen not to accept our terms," the Vice President said.

The delegation goes back home, but now to see US military and Israel's military strikes resume on Iran 🙏

President Trump told The Post on Friday that US warships are being reloaded with “the best ammunition” to resume strikes on Iran if peace talks in Pakistan fail.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, during a televised statement on Wednesday evening, that the Iranian ceasefire did not catch Israel by surprise, vowing to the Israeli public that the war goals would be accomplished either through diplomacy or force.

“We still have goals to complete, and we will achieve them either by agreement or by the resumption of fighting,” the prime minister declared, warning, “We are prepared to return to combat at any necessary moment. Our finger is on the trigger.”
