Lancaster Board of Elections Says Suspected Fraudulent Voter Registration Forms Dropped at Office
Staff, investigators discovered inconsistencies on forms, such as duplicate handwriting and incorrect personal information

At a Friday news conference, Lancaster County commissioners Josh Parsons, Ray D’Agostino, and Alice Yoder reported that fraudulent voter registration forms were found in a batch of nearly 2,500 that were turned into the county’s election office in the closing days of the registration period....
....Parsons, chair of the Lancaster County commissioners, took the opportunity to commend the election staff and criticize the Pennsylvania Department of State as well as local media.
“When we sit here as members of the Board of Elections, our duty is to follow and enforce the law,” he said. “That’s what we’ve always done. I will note that earlier this week, even as our nonpartisan election workers were doing their jobs and finding the suspected fraud, they were being attacked with false allegations from groups like the ACLU, WITF, LNP and others who falsely allege allegations that were frankly absurd.
“All three commissioners are in unanimous and bipartisan agreement that our staff has acted properly. Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt repeated these same false allegations that we had already debunked in a letter, an official letter to us. A letter that Schmidt sent, which was addressed to us, was apparently leaked directly to LNP, so that we were asked questions from LNP before we ever saw it....
